DJ m- I keep telling people that old school music and shows are better. Why? The storyline and lyrics. They wrote better back then. They sang with feeling back then. Held notes longer. Voices sounded better. In tv shows the people acted better. The guys playing the bad guys LOOKED like bad guys. Today's stuff is good but can't compare to old school stuff. Nowadays if we're at home and bored we'll check out a tv show that we've heard about. Back in the day when a tv show ( like Dallas) came on everyone would MAKE TIME to be home watching it. And talk about it the next day at school or work.

I can still see his smile or laugh now. I loved the way they would end the show with a freeze frame. Larry Hagman once said that you would have to continue acting out the scene because you would not know when they would cut it. I guess the actors would have to do some ad libbing and pantomiming towards the end of the scene. It was great. I loved the cliffhangers too. I read that the initial concept of the show was a Romero and Juliet theme in which the families hated each other and wanted to break up the happy couple. Great show. Great actors and great writing ✍️. It would be great if they brought back more original shows and character driven shows/ dramas.

He really was the best villain ever! I remember reading a story about how Larry Hagman was once at a restaurant when a bunch of ladies came over and started yelling at him, telling him off for being so evil, with him trying to explain that its just a character he plays...
@mattdahm98154 жыл бұрын
Yes, some people take show business way to seriously. They have a bicular way on looking at life. There will never be a more dispicable villian on TV than JR EWING! That's a good bet.

R.I.P to the late Larry Hagman. He was one hell of an actor who made his iconic role of J.R. Ewing one of the most hated characters in television history.

Hollywood is too damn WOKE. They're too scared of the SJWs. If we want anything like Dallas we have to go "indie" or foreign.

JR Ewing was definitely the tv character ever & the greatest tv villain of all time. The late great Larry Hagman played him up to perfection. If they did a remake of Dallas as a movie & have another actor play JR Ewing no matter how good they are they won’t be able to hold a candle to Larry Hagman. He can not be touched.
@GingerGilligan8 жыл бұрын
This show had some pretty amazing writers and Larry played an asshole VERY well. Too bad there's nothing as good as Dallas on TV anymore. Just "reality TV" junk.

Eye am so grateful to the infinite enchanted Universe that eye grew up in the 1980's ( born '72). Best childhood ever. It was all Rock N' Roll and Soul , magical. Eye was alive before Rap crap and hip hop nonsense, stupidity of 'pop culture'. Back then people were open and could sit on the sidewalk and talk about anything, but today people are so offended easily about everything, it is ridiculous. Kids today have no clue what they missed ;-)
