I can't. still lots of work to sort this baby out, remember I am doing two episodes at the same time, and shooting lots of behind the scenes info as well. As a note I never set release dates, the trailers ended up being three months behind the date I was aiming for.

jun, for me your an example of one of the most polite tubers I have come across, and I am pretty sure this is the key to your amazing success on youtube, it also helps being a great rock guitarist. There are so many big names on youtube who never reply to mail, and I never understand why they close the door on their viewers.

I do find it interesting the real series is moving to CGI, maybe via my efforts real model work can be kept alive. To be honest the two series of thomas and friends are the ones I go back to for a peep on how its done. There seems to be so many characters now, some are great don't get me wrong..but I do wonder how many is too many.

Jun is all quality, and a really nice youtuber as well.. All the people I featured on the bill boards have done things for me on youtube way above and beyond the normal call of youtube duty.

This is covered in some videos I made a few months back. Many people ask about this an drequire even more detail, so I will do a video on how to convert a 'take along' toy as ERTL's are no longer available and becoming collectors items. I did convert some 'take alongs' and the diesel you see in the Fat Controllers end speach is a take along, some of the models I can use but most look too distorted to even entertain being seen against the ERTL models.

Simerski and Knux have been both highly supportive of my content, I feel Simerski is a channel who needs a much bigger audience, he's a real story teller and train lover. If you go in and watch all his videos one by one its quite a epic piece, a huge amount of work and effort. And he has managed to form his own style of series away from the Thomas environment. That to me has to be rewarded.

All these people have helped me in different ways, not all are Thomas channels, and I owe all of them a huge thanks, its the only thing I could think of which will stand the test of time. Hi Dave In your message above is exactly why I enjoy your channel you can sum up a situation like no other. The toe cutters are a interesting mob, there to make the creative aspect so difficult and run for cover when it flops, but there lies the trailer masters, cutting together footage which will lure in unsuspecting Joe Public to witness yet another sausage factory film. These days a new creative idea is a cost cutting measure and don't we know. Your channel is wisdom dressed as entertainment.

Thanks ,there is much work to do to stitch all this together, its easy to cut a trailer to music, totally different doing complete audio from a silent video, building up all the voices and all the environmental noises. Its really good sound which makes a good video.

Thats pretty much what I have done (bar "danny boy" in episode 10) with the series - the incidental music makes the episodes unqiue, and stand out, as yours do, and its through meeting a lot of very talented musicians that the series has the good music it has. The tracks you have used are terrific, and that they are copyright free is something of a godsend for the film maker. I myself am grateful for Kevin's input on my series.

A interesting question, I believe the FC is a money man, he's looking very carefully of ways to make more money via his railway, he places bill boards around and decides to invest in a LPG plant, the Diesels are being forced onto him by The Grand Designer. The Diesels have yet to prove their worth.

He's a twin, and made from the take along car where he has no legs, I made legs for them.. Some of the take along stuff is ok, its just sad the engines are all squashed up.

A very good question..and I hope your all listening. I am using a series of music data files from what is known as smartsounds. They are copyright free and can be made into any length required. This track is called 'desperate measures' Considering the changes within youtube of late I dare not upload one beat of copyright music, its pretty clear to me this is a really important aspect to grasp on youtube. So many tubers have had their music muted and this just ruins their works.

I used 'storm' matches, you can see them if you look carefully Storm matches have huge red heads of composition and burn for around 5 seconds. They also make great match rockets..!

The mini FC's are custom made jobs derived from the FC in the 'take along' FC car, that FC has no legs so I had to do some custom legs for them, certainly look better than the hot melt glue jobs I did for episode 1. And for those who don't know a FC is (Fat Controller) I think the US series has him a different name for the FC, please correct me if I am wrong.

I sort of do stuff to a extreme, or not at all. It does feel a little strange doing another train video so many years after episode 1, keeping a constant feel between them is a little tricky as I have different cameras which I am still getting used to.

Its still a work in progress, it takes lots of time to sort out all the voices and trim all the footage down to run with the script, lots of decisions of what to use and what to bin..at least these trailers are a good way to showcase some of the ideas in the video. Some trailer footage is shot only for the trailer.

Gordons face from the el chepo tiny Thomas models you find in supermarkets for $2, the Gordon face is exactly the same size as a ERTL front.. I did cast some James faces but never used them, Finally something was easy for a change.

There are some bits just shot for the trailer, Hollywood do this all the time usually to cover up a film which lacks body. The trailers can be make or break for a film.

Thats what I was aiming for, much of the feel is driven my the soundtrack. Sound is so important when setting up a mood. The sound comes from a copyright free music generator called smartsounds, these days the tube is really clamping down on music attached to videos.

I do like the Thomas and Jet engine episode, but to me the Jet looked lame, I want to see big fire and big smoke, thats what jets are all about. Its a bit of a crossover to my backyard jet videos, which was the aim of my channel at the start.

The blue engine is the very rare paper faced ERTL I found and re-worked, the people who know saw this in another video where I was explaining cutting off the tenders, its a long story, basically I stuffed up..I could not figure out how to do the finer detail required, so its a naked, devoid of its number.

mg4150, well we both know the value in knowing Jun, he's a tuber who I got to know very quickly, we have very similar musical interests, our first band live was the same, in fact considering our totally different cultures its amazing there are any similarities. I clearly remember the first time I watched his channel, I was speechless, and could not believe my eyes. Best thing is he's the sort of guy who responds to mail, so many big tubers don't, thats a cold hard and very annoying fact.

Considering I am moving the camera and the only person there your thoughts might be exactly what I am using. I use many methods to move the models, the most accurate is still by piano wire as I need to pull up with exact accuracy. String is the best to do a points move.

Finding good music is one of the most challenging aspects of making a video, the music can me make or break. I believe there has to be a coming together of video producers and music artists, as it stands now to engage with any copyrighted piece is financially crippling.

the mad bomber is trevor, its very common to give a character thats important more screen time. e.g. 0:49-0:53 , 1:29--1:31, and 1:32---1:34. he meets the requirements as a steamy.
