When you know a lot, you can get caught in the weeds about needing to "fix" everything, when in reality, we are just in one side of the ebb and flow of the balance of skill. Evidently, pass defense has gotten much better and now OCs have to figure out how to do better against that defense. The NFL already has 1000x more rules and exceptions than other modern sports, it doesn't need more to bail out people who are paid millions of dollars to play and scheme NFL strategies

So if a defensive formation set challenges these freakish athletic wideouts, and forces the quarterback to make accurate throws into tighter windows than they had to at the college level mean that a rule should force defenses into a vulnerable position to where just any quarterback can dominate. That'll diminish any true sense of accomplishment among anybody at QB if an implemented rule just enhanced your performance drastically with an immediate impact.

Mel makes some good points, teams are not folding and bringing 1 safety in the box regardless of how much they are ran against they play the odds of red zone stops, penalties, and turnovers.. OC’s are too afraid of job security to put gameplans to attack 2 high that involve added risk so we get these dink and dunk, bubble screen, gameplans. And offensive lines can’t hold up long enough to attack the deep middle of 2 high
