This man is now an Oscar winning filmmaker… cannot believe the success he has had in a genre so different than all of his other work. Always fascinated me to think that horror storytelling lived within such a great comedian, but looking back on Key and Peele now, you can really see that aspect of his creativity shining through

The only way your point could have been valid is if his films hadn’t gotten rave reviews from audiences and were only well received by critics. But clearly they didn’t just slap an Oscar on his screenplay for no reason…

They’re professionals obviously passed the amateur stage so they don’t break character. Ja Rule was very famously(or infamously) brought on to give his opinion on the 9/11 attacks, even though at the time he was just a rapper/actor.
