I also heard Mandelic acid is best for skin of colour. I started using Mandelic acid from The Ordinary about a month ago. Omw love how it is helping my skin.

Piece of advice: just stick to Vitamin C, Retinoids and spf. Stay away from too many acids, copper peptides and home devices. I ruined my face and I cant pin down the reason because of the too many things I was using. Save money for what really works: microneedling with prp, radiesse, botox and surgery if needed/wanted. for good skin we don't need so many products to be honest less is more. Good luck for everyone on a safe and fun skin journey.

I’ve been using the Wishtrend 5% prep water for almost a year now. I use it every morning after cleansing like a toner. It has some great soothing ingredients like panthenol and centella and other beneficial ingredient like licorice root extract. It’s not leaving my routine any time soon!

Thanks for the product recommendations! I always thought Mandelic Acid was pointless for me, I’ve always loved Glycolic Acid.. until I started Tretinoin last year.😳🔥 I’m going to try The Ordinary’s acid. I heard good things about Wishtrend’s Mandelic toner, and I do love toners.😁

Wait- your skin is 4.5 to 5.5 on the pH scale. The scale goes to 14! Water is about 7. Your skin will get irritated from Base products! My favorite is Mandelic Acid which about 1 percent it comes really close to your own pH. It slowly exfoliates rather than violently like a BHA for more mature skins. First, your video was very factual and interesting! (RN 34 yrs, prior, Chem teacher) Mandelic Acid kills bacteria!!!! It can be used under your arms and if mild enough, other parts. (Idea behinf Lume Deoderant, although I have been using Mandelic Acid for eons) I am over 60 and found my skin has few lines, zero acne (I had acne till I was in my 40's- then I started making a body wash with this acid) Great video. pH is a big thing. (Not in water....if you drink alkaline water, it is neutralized in the pH of about 3 in your stomach!!! Stop wasting money. Your stomach acid is very strong!) Oh, your skin looks GORGEOUS!!!!!

I love skin care amd try everything that comes out. Mandelic acid is one thing that I always use every other night (non tretinoin nights) and I will never change. I don't bother with any other acids anymore. I'm almost 67 and acne prone and sensitive. I've been using the product from Stratia.

I've used Wishtrend 5% Mandelic water prep and loved it. Currently using Dr. V's wash off exfoliator which is 5% mandelic and 5% lactic. It is also gentle and makes my skin glow after using. When it's done I'm moving up to the ordinary 10%.

I use the 40% Mandelic Acid from Platinum Skin Care. All of their acids are amazing and well-formulated, and I've been able to work up to using the 40% once a week. Helping TREMENDOUSLY with melasma and hormonal breakouts. Highly recommend.

I had no idea that mandelic acid boots collagen production! I'll probably keep it in my anti aging skincare routine then, because I wanted to add retinol but I was scared that glycolic acid would be to irritating to use alongside retinol. And I'd rather go for a higher concentration of retinol or retinal then for a strong exfoliant because uneven skin or breakouts aren't my main concern

I use the wishtrend 5% mandalic acids and it's the best product for my skin. I have texture and hyperpigmentation and it improved it so so much. I use it once a week before bedtime. I use a cleaning lotion. Nothing else because my skin is so sensitive. I can't even use moisturizer.

I have used it from last fall through the early spring and I loved it. It's way more gentle than the othe AHA's and kept my skin glowing during those seasons. I was using Naturium's mandelic acid.

I’m absolutely stanning the PSA Glow Toner. Really gentle and has some lactic acid for hydration. Works beautifully with my vitamin C and sunscreen in the AM. I use it every day (😮) with no drawbacks like irritation or sensitivity. I feel like people are really sleeping on PSA. 😗

Hi Rob I like the by Wishtrend 5% mandelic acid, but my skin is extremely reactive (rosacea and eczema). I use it probably once a week before a sheet mask, as part of a more involved skincare routine/pampering session. Used this way i've never noted any drying out of my already super dry skin. My skin hates glycolic and isn't all that happy with lactic acid either, but mandelic acid and PHA's do seem to work for me. This is of course in conjunction with the azelaic acid and retinoid I use on other evenings throughout the week. I sometimes alternate it with a 1% BHA, or use the BHA in the t zone and the mandelic acid on the perimeter of the face. I look at my skin that day and decide what I want to use, so I don't have a set "routine/schedule" of when I apply anything tbh. I like the by Wishtrend product and the 5% is enough for me to see benefits - I haven't been tempted to move up to a 10% for that reason. As it is more of a weekly product for me the by Wishtrend version has lasted me months and months, but for those using it more often that experience will differ. All in all I've been happy with it and will probably repurchase when it is done. Best wishes.

Dealing with rosacea, I never thought I'd be using ANY acids. But I've been using the Face Theory one you mentioned for about a month and I'm loving it! I started out by using it every 4 days or so, and worked up to about every other day. Makes my skin feel smooth and doesn't aggravate it at all. Highly recommend!

Thanks for the informative video about mandelic acid! I'm still learning which actives work best for my skin and hyperpigmentation. I'm curious what you think of Versed products like the Ceramide Cleanser, Weekend Glow Toner, Dark Spot Gel, Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream, Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream, and Mood Lighting Glow Drops. The toner, for example, has azelaic and kojic acid but they're low concentrations (0.5% and 0.3%). Do you think that is an effective concentration? How do you think these products from Versed compare to those from the Inkey List and Good Molecules? I'm curious!

I’ve never actually tried mandelic acid as I wasn’t interested in the gentle acids when I started chemical exfoliants. Now that I’m using tret it’s all about the gentle acids and formulations. I likely won’t turn to mandelic any time soon as I’m loving your exfoliating gel.
