I was so excited to be walking past the enclosure when I did!! I’ve been keeping hissers for years, and have only caught the birthing process twice. After the birth, the babies crowded the mom until she released the special feeding goop for them, and then it was a feeding frenzy. Once the goop was all gone, all the babies hid for their exoskeletons to harden in safety.

Oh you caught her on the start nice!! Mi have Madagascar hissing cockroaches too and I got babies too but missed the birth under cover

@@tetra3ne56scur3 yeah! I was so lucky. Just passing through the room and was like “hey, you’re about to give birth!” It’s awesome to have these little critters, isn’t it? Hopefully one day you’ll be able to watch a birth in your colony ❤️
