This was a lovely video. I'm very glad to have seen it. I can't help but think that Sarah Breedlove having died so younng (especially so long before the great depression and so much younger than ATM) might have tended to immortalize her. Things aren't always what they seem. Kittyhawk has put North Carolina on the map for doing something first that a New England state in all liklihood beat them to. So I'm glad you didn't make who did what first the emphasis of your video. Very, very nicely done!

Happy new year, Ti! Wishing you and yours the absolute best. I think it’s weird and disrespectful that the most recent movie didn’t represent these women more accurately. The real story is just as entertaining and enlightening as the creative liberties. Not sure why the writers didn’t see it this way. As a teen, I’d heard of Mrs. Malone, but it was more like a small caption. It would’ve been even better if we knew there were two Black women millionaires during that time instead of focusing on one. I mean, come on. I loved the story you did on Madame C.J. Walker’s daughter, especially when you mentioned she was on a ship similar to the Titanic.

I love that your videos are so well researched. Just found your channel and quickly have become a big fan. I also enjoy that you do black and white history. After all, history is composed of both.

Hi Patricia! Thank you for your kind words. The researching is my favorite part of this process. I can't leave anybody out of history. I'm looking forward to telling some stories about Asians, Latinos, and Native Americans this year as well.
