Lol, the Sydney comment, I agree, and yes, Uncle Ben and Peter being born in this movie had no consequences on the film. It was all so silly. I've seen Dakota Johnson in Cha Cha Real Smooth. She was good at that. One of my KZbin friends loves this film hes seen it like 4 times

Thanks dude. Yeah if it weren’t for the amc pass I have I probably wouldn’t have waited until it was free somewhere but, because I just pay for the subscription and get to watch endless amount of movies it’s no big deal.

Yeah I remember the random zoom in and outs. That was some of the most random camera usage I’ve seen in a film. So unnecessary🤣

Awesome review man, I don't think Madame Web is as bad as everybody says to me it's at least better than the awful Morbius. I'm kinda optimistic about Venom 3!

As the sole person who was in the theatre , I can assure you it is worse than anyone could possibly convey in words. You literally have to see it to believe.

Thanks for the review Ryan. Thanks for suffering for us. I'm definitely skipping that film. Your comments confirm what I heard already. Watching the trailer already, I could feel the 50 Shades girl was a miscast. Weird times, when we have to lower our expectations for large studios like Marvel so much that we appreciate the fact they still achieve decent level in some aspects! If it continues like that, in next few years we'll be surprised Disney's cameras were in focus! 😂

Yeah I just think these executives don’t have a clue sometimes who’s the right person for the job and they seem to do their own thing rather then trying to follow the comics because it’s clear they don’t pay attention to them.

Great Review! We have it at the same score judging off of your Letterboxd, and yeah… not the worst movie ever, but still horrible on almost every level. But even with how bad it is, for some reason, I’m still thinking of getting the blu ray or 4K for the collection lmao

One thing I’ll give it credit for: having Sydney’s character have a spider outfit that actually looks like a proper superhero outfit (however briefly she’s seen in it) instead of something more ridiculously fancy servicey 😅

Haha, I definitely have that superhero movie fatigue and haven't watched the genre in a good while. That being said, seeing the trailer, this movie actually looked interesting and I was considering seeing it (for the cast) until it got absolutely shit on by the audiences.

I actually checked out this film today, I was expecting it to be mediocre at best but I actually thought it was ok. The story isn’t original, I also think it should’ve released over a decade ago. However I thought the action was done pretty well, I also liked the films pacing & most of the characters.

I’m glad you found some positives; every other reviewer I’ve seen didn’t give any positives. I’ve also not seen much of Dakota Johnson but she seems to play bland in everything else I’ve seen of her. I do wonder how much is Sony’s fault and if they do indeed keep interfering, maybe they should take a hint and trust who they’ve hired to make the film.

I would imagine everyone has a hand in how it turned out. I just think Dakota Johnson unless she has a performance that stands out she’ll always be just Dakota Johnson the actress rather then being Dakota Johnson played in such and such role and I remember said role.

I couldn't believe how little action there was. Then they stopped the story to take a two-week vacation to Peru which was mind-blowing. It's definitely not the worst film, but it's gonna be one of the worst blockbusters of the year. Good review.

I also thought it wasn't that bad. With low expectations and a short running time, this movie delivered just about enough for me. Although I didn't rate Sydney Sweeney at all. Of the three 'teenagers', she was clearly a mid-20s woman dressed as a schoolgirl IMO. The other two were more believable for me. In superhero terms, Wakanda Forever was obviously a much better cinema experience, but going back and watching that at almost 3 hours is a slog. Madam Web will be something I could see me watching again on a wet Wednesday afternoon when it is streaming

Like I said in my review it’s not the worst movie I’ve seen and it didn’t torture me like some of the other bad movies I’ve seen
