Zucchero 😍😍😍 I still remember when I was a kid, I loved him so much for songs like Baila Morena or Funky Gallo which gave me goosebumps. Then I still remember it as a super happy period, and one day in the evening I listened Così Celeste... The words plus the music... Man I cried no stop all the evening long till I went to sleep, almost without been able to breath fro how much I was crying, it was too beautiful! 😍

Fun Facts: 1) Album title is Oro, incenso e birra (Gold, Frankincense and beer) replacing myrrh (mirra) as third gift to Jesus by Biblical Magi. Just to understand the guy... 2) Iruben me is the "butchered" name of a Danish girl he once met in Copenhagen sitting on a park bench crying. And the song atmosphere and lyrics talk about feelings, moods and frames of mind raging as harsh weather (downfalls, storms, floods) 👉 "7-days downpours from my eyes, so if you don't come back to me, I forecast floods hitting". Check the lyrics. P.S. Can't buy a coffee right now (sorry) but I hope someone soon suggest you listening to "Inquieto" by CSI - Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti (from acoustic concert) to let you explore a parallel universe. Recently Zucchero have a Featuring with Davide Van de Sfroos on a song of the last album of Davide "Maader Folk". The song is "Lord varda gioo". Davide is an Italian songwriter that write In his particular dialect of the Lake of Como. In this song they both sing in their own dialect (Zucchero is Emilian) because is a spiritual talk of the their deep soul with God (the song was made in lockdown by Davide)

I love also Diamante in the Arena di Verona, and what I love more is that, as every serious artist, Zucchero brings professional musicians with him for his concerts so the instrumental change always a bit every concert and always in amazing ways

Zucchero has always said that he was inspired by Joe Cocker, in fact both from the way he uses his voice and from his being on stage recalls him a lot. Regarding the meaning of the words "iruben me" I found this meaning on the internet, repeated on several sites, so I guess it may be likely: < The legend says that that day in Copenhagen there was a girl crying on a bench by the sea. Already sad stuff in itself, but if you place this in a city like the Danish one and imagine how cold the northern sun can be, she seems to be in a Lars von Trier film. It also says that in an unspecified boreal language, Iruben me means something like "come back to me". Thus it was that a talent born in Roncocesi, province of Reggio Emilia, with a marked musical ability, whose name is Adelmo Fornaciari, but who for everyone is Zucchero first and Sugar later, found the inspiration for "Iruben me", contained in what probably his best work, "Oro Incenso e Birra" from 1989. Always according to the legend, of course. >

I think "iruben me" means "let me be free from bad thoughts" (or similar). My favorite song by Adelmo is "dune mosse" and "diamante" . being the last dedicated to his grandmother (her name was actually Diamante) and talking about soldiers coming home from the war zone. Best performance are "hey man" and "per colpa di chi" ☺ . he was used to take live concerts at the Arena in Verona, which is not as big as Colosseum but very impressive, because it's not in ruin and people can follow a performance of opera or pop music litterally sitting on the history
