Don´t worry, almost everybody was disappointed and/ or pissed at the prospect of Obito doing the same Rinne-rebirthh stuff than Nagato. Therefore it´s a real good thing storywise this didn´t happen. I believe even more people would have dropped the show at this point.

@Narkomancers madara planned to fight obito as the ten tails genchuriki as an edo, so him being above 10 tails levels is pretty consistent. Also I don't see how your Naruto example is at all similar to Madara. Also sage mode Naruto literally beat kurama in a fight lol

@Narkomancers madara is not a random guy, a better analogy would be a professional fighter giving his opinion on another fighter. Regardless of all of that, madara still broke the gates and if you don't have a better explanation him being above the 10 tails is more consistent. And madara didn't lose in the end for being "too confident". He got backstabbed by zetsu because he only trusted himself. Madara is definitely confident but saying he lost due to his confidence doesn't make sense to me

Just as a little clarification so you aren't confused: Madara lost his eyes on revival because when he died he didn't have his eyes (they were on Nagato), and his eyes rn are still aroun (one on Obito ofc, the other one godfucking knows where)

So it’s not that his eyes were closed it’s that because he didn’t have his actual eyes when he died as he gave the to nagato when he came back to life he lost his eyes as that’s how he was when he died.

I think the reason is that the rinnegan is more difficult to create than bringing someone back to life.
