it doesn’t take anything away if you have an inner monologue that fuses the Japanese voice with the subtitle text to trick your brain into thinking the Japanese voice actors are speaking English.... it’s quite common to have this skill if you are a fast reader so it doesn’t even distract you.... I also like watching anime instead of just letting it play and listening to it.... Madara dub voice sounds sinister which is kinda cool but his sub voice is ruthless and unforgiving which is why I think that his sub voice is far better than dub.... you can’t hear the same emotions and to me, the Japanese emotions will always be more authentic that a second voice trying to copy the Japanese emotions but in on other language.... not saying dub sucks.... just saying that dub in old anime’s like naruto lack the emotions that old anime sub has.... I respect if you like a less emotional, but more convenient way of enjoying anime....
