Great interview and so glad I stumbled upon this! I am the "folksinger" that DM is speaking about and the album is called "Fond Desire Farewell". DM was a joy to work with and I was so pleased that he chose to work with me.

Great series of interviews. I met DM many moons ago when he was doing a session at CTS (De Lane Lea) in Wembley - I was wanting to ask about tuition but alas he was much too busy. Surprisingly, no mention of Hal Blaine in his influences there - perhaps that's just a "given"!

Bangos deMangos Hi Bangos just seen your comment - thanks for posting - Yes I expect Hal Blaine would be up there with his influences - I imagine quite a few drummers think of people they forgot to mention after we've finished filming - so many great players and legends to choose from!
