What a fab interview with Jon Hiseman (I liked the second one as well). He is so grounded and down to earth with his comments and I am so sorry he has now departed. I saw hi at a drum clinic at the Fender Soundhouse in London, UK I think once in the mid 1970's and he was really great. I have two of the Collosseum albums as well and he was one of the finest progressive rock drummers out there then.

Thank you Spike for this, Great watching Jon and you chat. I first seen Colosseum in Top Rank, Cardiff in 69/70 when I was 16/17 and my mother made me go to the gig in a suit and collar and tie lol!. I have been a fan of Colosseum since and I have all their L.P's and C.D's. Like Jon I was once a school boy with a loving mum loved that bit of Jon's story. Great video thanks for sharing.

After all not really bad: You form one of the very best bands in the world, you are one of two (Ginger Baker was the other one) best drummers in Rock, you work on having a great family and you stay a cool guy ... Jon, you must have done something right in your life.

Very sad news about Jon. It was with Graham Bond that I first saw him play. Colosseum were unbelievable live too. A pity that I never got to meet him.

Spike, thanks for this. Great interview, and it doesn’t surprise me that Jon’s a very thoughtful guy. It comes across in the music. Also, and I’m sure Colosseum fans know this, but the “Things We Like” album with Jack Bruce, John McLaughlin & Dick Hextall-Smith is a great example of Jon’s talent.

Great drummer all them 60s drummers in rock came from a jazz background they all could swing from Ginger Baker,Charlie Watts to Bonham & Bill Ward u see alot of drummers today all tech but it‘s about the feel & what not to play.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor, which was removed a couple of days ago.
