This game is literally unplayable. Every time I’m in shotgun, the defense is in prevent mode. If I attempt a pass and the closest defender is 20+ yards away, miraculously he will close the gap and bat the ball down. My sure handed receivers drop easy passes. They punted to me, the whistle didn’t blow when it bounced into the end zone so I grabbed it, got tackled and called for a safety. What the actual fuck.

Madden 05 was the apex of the franchise & it's mostly the only one I still play. I have Madden 06 on the PSP which was a downgrade but I excuse its shortcomings as it's on the PSP. The most recent Madden I played was the one with Brett Favre on the cover for PS3. I hated that game so much it's one of the only video games I've ever snapped in half & threw away. Glad you didn't work on the PS3 version hahaha. I can't see another good NFL game coming out as long as any publisher is given exclusive rights (which EA secured after Madden 05's release).

I’ve owned every madden since the original on sega. The last madden I bought was 16. I’ll take free copies but madden is the same game every year focusing only on mut. Madden used to be fun, now it’s just frustrating

you know madden sucks when you have 90 ovr (superstar x factor) dk metcalf, 81 ovr (superstar) JSN, and a 78 ovr (star dev) mecole hardman/ 76 ovr (star dev) rashee rice (they split snaps) and then 86 ovr STAR dev mcduffie, same exact rating with sneed, and then freak of nature tariq woolen (somehow star dev), AND nick bolton 87 ovr, 75 willie gay (user), and 81 ovr (star dev) devin white. Then i Have Jaelan Phillips at LE 84 ovr (star dev), Mike Danna at DT 75 ovr (normal dev), Chris Jones 97 ovr (x factor), Felix Anudike-Uzomah 75 ovr (hidden dev). idk who my safeties are but my starting safeties are injured as of right now. OH! and at offensive line, every offensive linemen has at least star dev and is over 78 ovr and yet I still get sacked and pressured at least 20 times a game. At running back i have 84 ovr (star dev) Isiah Pacheco and 79 ovr Jerick McKinnon (normal dev). At TE I have 79 ovr Noah Fant (star dev). And at QB I have Patrick Mahomes 99 ovr (x factor). Im playing as the chiefs since it's my hometown team, but i'm still managing to lose to the Bears. My run defense is ass and my passing defense is ass and my passing offense is ass (I went 19/40 that game) and my running offense is ass (37 yards rushing with 17 attempts). IN SHORT, I LOST TO THE BEARS WITH AN 86 OVR TEAM 😊😊

The Madden games were great from the start through the 1990's because John Madden had a required standard. He would not allow the game released until the game perfectly simulated football to the best game technology can provide. Then he stopped having a direct influence in the creation of the game. EA took over in all say and only carried the Madden name, and they ruined his name for the money grab of Madden Ultimate Team, and the fact EA has no competition because they have the license with the NFL.

@mlaws11291 True but Madden has still good around the PS2 era, then when the PS3 came over, it took a step back in my opinion but the games were still great. I'll say Madden 12 was the good Madden because the gameplay was still good, had more depth and the Franchise Mode was so good and popular. Unfortunately though, from Madden 13 to now with Madden 24, it's just terrible for a whole decade now. The EA company now days only cares about money and their damn Ultimate Team mode for this entire decade. I doubt this guys don't even watch sports and care about sports at all

The hair physics has always been garbage. Dreads don't magically float two inches off the neck, and it really knocks down the "realism" of the game when the players look goofy like that. I saw Derrick Henry and cringed with the hair. Please tell me Josh is wearing a Tony Banks jersey.... LOL I interviewed him as he went to Michigan State. Cocky SOB. Josh did a great job. I love Jay, he has a great touch of humor. His facial expressions are perfect. That's wild that Madden 64 wasn't licensed by the NFL. Awesome tidbit. Oh thank God the refs are optimized for both male and female characters. Lol and of course, everyone gets a happy ending thanks to Budlight.

I’m tired of the easiest catches being dropped in game changing scenarios just because I’m not playing as a devs favorite team. Every time I play against a top ten favorite or bandwagon team I could be up by 38 at the half then all of a sudden I can’t complete any pass and my runs get stuffed behind the line while the other team can beak 4-5 tackles and 1 wr can make a miraculous catch with 4 defenders swatting at it. Again I’ll say if your not a crowd favorite team and play on a manly difficulty not some dogshit easy pro difficulty it’s fucking impossible

At this point, when was the last time Madden was GOOD? I got it last year for the first time in a while, and I got two years into my career mode, and my wide receiver inexplicably became a quarterback. No explanation. Just a glitch. And this was after the game had been patched several times. Just brutal.
