"Madden NFL 24 makes several much-needed improvements to the on-field experience thanks to fantastic additions to animations and AI, but it still suffers from the same problems it always has once you get off the field: everything here is just done better in every other sports sim, even the other ones made by EA, and this year’s tweaks just aren’t enough to make up for the series’ continued feeling of sameness and lack of progress. To continue the metaphor, Madden feels like a decent but not great football team: content to coast. If it were in the right division I could see it sneaking into the playoffs, or overperforming in a good year. But it’s the kind of team that typically gets eliminated in the first round. The on-field game might be the best it’s ever been, but there are too many off-field issues here to ignore, and with each passing year it feels more and more like they’ll never be fixed. Perpetually, Madden seems like it could be a contender with time and the right changes, but right now it feels like an also-ran. And you don’t win the Super Bowl like that."

The worst thing to happen to Madden was when they signed that NFL exclusive deal in 2004 or 2005, thereby getting rid of their biggest competitor, the NFL 2K series. Without any competition, they have not needed to push the bar. Therefore, mediocrity set in. Madden did this to themselves, and now we have to deal with their crappy games.

Frostbite is not the issue. Nearly every problem in the game today has been there for generations. I've shown video evidence of the same problems dating back to Madden 06 XBOX 360.

Ignite was not perfect , but It was simple and works better. Just play Madden 17 to feel It. If only they keep Ignite for sports and Frost for FPS It will be much better by now.

The indie gaming scene needs to step in and make football games that actually innovate and finally push the sports genre forward. The reason why Madden has been terrible every year is because it literally has no competition and with no competition means that they have NO motivation to actually take the act of innovating their own franchise more seriously.

There’s this game called Legend Bowl made by indie developer who did the work all by himself. The game is so much fun and it only priced at $25! He has a KZbin channel breaking down gameplay and mechanics. The developer is also thinking of making a college video game based off of Legend Bowl. You should check it out!
