This is one of the most underrated and criminally unrecognized bands in metal. I love every one of their albums. The latest, Red in Tooth and Claw, is another step in their progression. The music and lyrics are so intensely emotional, not as superficial and mindless as much of the music released these days. Love the video. "Fallow Season" is definitely one of the best, catchiest tracks off the album. It's a mystery to me why this band doesn't get more exposure and respect. I hope to God I can see them live one day. That would be a dream come true. Sadly, with how little they are known, I wonder if they will ever do a North American tour.

Marrow is another big leap forward, it's utterly amazing! I got to see them live just two days ago and they are just brilliant on stage. Agnete really pours all her emotion into the music. They played this as well, and a bunch of songs from Marrow, but highlight for me was to hear Hangman live on stage. Heartrending and gorgeous. They' re also the nicest people in person, especially Agnete with whom my gf and I got to hang at the bar for a while.

First time heard them in 2001 (or smth like this), "To kill and kill again" was on polish metal hammer cd. Since then they just around, not all of the time but constantly ;) I think that broader regognition isn't main thing when you've got your own path, and I think that this is one of main powers of the band. Btw. i saw video with this track played live quite quietly (at least it looked like that). You've got no better quality mark than banging your head when such band playing quietly ;)

To me, Agnete is the best female metal vocalist. It's the raw power, yes, but it's also her willingness to take it to a point where she's vulnerable. Unmatched.

This video is actually recorded less than 2 km from where I grew up, it's an abounded saw mill named "Skyrudssaga" in Norwegian. I even knot that dog. :)

I know why I'm playing Warwick... THIS sound :D a shout out to the band, such a great song. You have to just listen to the music and stop watching the video. Video is not good, but song is another great step in the path of Madder Mortem music. Now MM really follow the way from When dream and day collide single. And there´s really nothing generic about them, just the video doesn´t underlined qualities of the song...

In realtà sono oggettivamente molto freschi e unici nel loro sound. Che poi possano piacere o meno, questo è un altro paio di maniche. In ogni caso sono tutti molto preparati, soprattutto la cantante Agnete, avendola sentita live posso anche confermare per quella sede, non una sbavatura. In un mondo di musica quasi piatto e sempre uguale, loro sono una rarità e gliene va reso merito.
