Truly one of the most under-rated and under-exposed bands in metal - how is it possible they've been playing such unique and beautiful music for 20 years, and yet hardly anyone has heard of them?
@ristoravela6526 жыл бұрын
Been wondering the same for about the last 10 years. Truly weird.

@@ristoravela652 It's not weird. An average Joe, like myself, doesn't have much of an ear for music, or an eye for art. We mostly live on auto-pilot, whatever we know about music has been shoved down our throats by heavy marketing from big companies. Madder Mortem is not easily package-able like bottles of coke from a factory. It's hard to compare it to music that has made big sales before, a risky investment. I'm glad true gems like this go unnoticed sometimes because they're always a breath of fresh air.

This is fantastic. Saw them support Opeth in Portsmouth, UK around 2003. They blew me away. Went out and bought their latest CD the following weekend.

Wow, how can it be possible that only now I discovered this new masterpiece, unexpectedly after all those years, of one of the greatest bands in Metal EVER?! 😮 Where have you been all those years?! And how can you just reappear out of nothing and hit me hard with this killer genius track AND this beautiful artful video?! 👏 But the greatest of all mysteries remains: How can this not have MUCH more views?! 😲 Come on, this srsly needs much more views!!!

Madder Mortem are the best thing that has ever happened to humanity and we're not worthy of their perfection, period.

It's unfortunate that in just the last year or so I've come across this group. But the wait was worth it. I love it so much.

It's very late You haven't noticed that the light has changed It means we're running out of time The moments slip away While we are full of doubt and half unmade And far too much is on the line You're so far from home And it's tearing me apart I drown in the hope That there's shelter where you are Your eyes are still the same But you speak in echoes from another place Will you know how to get back here? I'd show you how But I don't think you'd know my voice right now There is just too much on your mind You're so far from home And it's tearing me apart I drown in the hope That there's shelter where you are Blood flows slow and dries too fast Bonds break and tear where they should last My love, my one, you should be more afraid Dawn breaks the dark I breathe, and there you are Holding on to my eyes And the world is full of light So bring tomorrow on
