Good news! I can't stop listening to this song after a long years break and I've almost forgotten how gorgeous the band is. That dark melodies and crushing riffs is something that most of old and new bands have forgotten about. This is how metal must sound. And Agnete - her voice is so beautiful, desperately powerful and scary, that when I listen her singing, I feel thrills upon my skin. That is the music I've been waiting for so long.

I was lucky enough with my band to share the French tour of Opeth with Madder Mortem a few years ago and Madder Mortem quickly imposed its originality which may or may not be liked. But never mind a unique band that deserves to be at the top!!!

Agnete is the Siouxsie Sioux of metal. As far as I'm concerned, this is a high compliment. Her recent real life transformation seems to have also been a catalyst for a symbolic one if Towers is anything to use when judging what to expect from this album. She has a new ferocity that is also an old one, reminding of past MM songs with similar power and rage, but also hinting a new kind of vocal command and presence that I personally can't wait for more of. This is, of course, to say nothing of the incredible band, which I could write four more paragraphs on, but hey, she's the frontwoman and voice of the group so she got my attention this time. :) Love how well this essentially minimalist video works, too. No needless high concept stuff, just darkness with beautiful touches of red and what seems to be multiple forms of Agnete, all grooving and crawling and running and undulating to the infectious riff. Okay, enough words on this. It's just really good, okay?

I was aware of this band for years and years and liked them, but for some reason they never 'clicked' for me until this album. Now I am going back and listening to the old stuff that I had already heard before and I am baffled that they haven't been one of my favorites all this time. Maybe it's a case of "Old Ears, New Heart."

Very good! This has a lot of what I feel is good about modern metal and metalcore, but without the one major flaw a lot of that stuff has: formulaic, generic and boring songwriting. A lot of bands should take notes from this.
