You have to give automakers credit for their research and development of fabrics that repel stains. This interior cleaned up so well you can barely see any trace of how bad it was. I can only imagine what it must have smelled like! Great job - the downside of reviving a repo like this is that the next owner has no idea how bad the car was before he got it.

Part of me wonders if someone with special needs was in this car a lot, not just kids; another part wonders if the owners were just living in this thing for a while; and another part wonders if this was a "lawn ornament" before the repo and the kids just used it like a big playhouse. In any case, you did an incredible job of restoring this car to a much better condition, and I hope it stays that way for a long, long time.

Honestly a simple no eating and only water in the car rule could of prevented 80% of this. So far - knock on wood if I can keep doing it - but I put a black polish on it twice a year - a couple weeks apart and just do a hack job by hand. The salesman said that when it gets to be like 4 years old I should take it to a power tool detailer as it will just reboot the finish for me to take care of it for another 4 years.

Amazing that car has returned to looking pretty much brand new again. As many messages have stated, how does one allow their car to become so filthy? I can't comprehend how anyone could make such a major purchase then not take care of it?? The worst part is the children that have to ride around in this filth. Absolutely disgusts me someone is doing that & letting their child accept that as being alright. People should be ashamed of themselves. I could go on for pages about this topic because it really bothers me. I realize some people couldn't care less, but they could stop being so selfish & clean their act up for 18 years to set a good example for their kids. Enough said about that, good job on the detail. No, freaking fantastic job on the detail man!!! Now somebody can use that car & make all the time & resources it took to make it worthwhile. To all the people setting good examples for their children....I commend you & my kids appreciate you making a better world for their future. As for the others rolling around in mobile ecosystems like this car used to be, stop being so selfish & just grow up & at least set a good example for your kids. THAT is what would make America great again!!
