There are multiple car detailing channels around. Some of them are actually quite interesting, some seem to me like "too prepared" and some are outright fakes. None of them, however, can hold a candle to this Scottish dude. A million subscribers or not.

I agree. I detail a lot of vehicles in my personal life, and no other channel seems to accurately capture a good all-round detail on a filthy car. Some, as you said, just seem like they're trying too hard, or are clearly not as expert as they claim to be. Autoshine Blackpool has always shown that he's a true professional.

How to become a YT car "detailer": -buy an extractor and a rotary brush for a drill - throw some dirt and twigs under the seats and in the back for good measure - do a normal car wash - focus waaaaaaay to much on extracting from the carpets - call it detailing without detailing anything

I have the same exact car and this is so satisfying to watch! For a 18 yrs old car it's really in good shape. The paint is still reasonably shiny, the headlights are nearly perfect and the interior are still intact. Mine cooked for 18 years under the sun and I had to replace the headlights, polish the paint and every time I touch some plastics it breaks under my fingers. This little Fiesta is really in amazing shape, I bet it has less than 100k miles and she was always ketp inside a garage. Enjoyed massively!

This was an intriguing question you asked! I come from a health care background. I have a degree in it, my mum is a nurse, I have other family members who are doctors and work in other capacities of health care. For me I felt the exact same way you expressed - it may just be a quick scare and then it will go away. As time has progressed, many have died, the rate of infection is quite severe, and now sports events and schools are cancelled. Never in my lifetime has such a reaction been ensued because of a virus. For me, I am a mysophobe so germs truly scare me. I would normally have an anxiety attack, but I did my research.. it's scary but there's also the pragmatic side of me that understands how to control the spread of germs. Corona virus has been around for some time. The reason it already had a name was because it was identified and studied by scientists before. This particular strain is a puzzle yet to be solved.We don't know much about it just yet in the science world. For this reason there are many who are on high alert, some are panicked, some are not bothered etc. We just have to remain calm and use common sense. When you're stressed your immune system is weakened. So, just another reason to be cautious but not overly excited and overreacting. I have high hopes that all will be well soon. We all must do our part and then good results will follow. Thanks for your question, I don't always answer but I do listen each time you present us with a question and I do think of my own thoughts and feelings on the subjects you cover. The car went from drab to fab. I can only imagine how smelly the stench was! You did an excellent job! Well done and thank you for helping us all be inspired to be more clean and tidy. P.S. Sorry this was a very long response.

I was given my mum's Fiesta Mk6. It's the poverty-spec Finesse model but still has far more kit than I'd expect from a base-level Fiesta (remembering the Popular from the early-mid) '80s: ABS, central locking, rev counter, elec. boot release, CD player, 4 speakers, PAS. It drives really well and is big enough to get a washing machine in the back when you need to ! I also have a '99 M5 but the Fiesta is a brilliant town car that attracts no attention at all.

Great videos as usual Gary. IMO Corona virus is blown out of proportion by the Media, more people die of flu and pneumonia than this. The 2009 Swine flu which originated in N.America was the worst where up to 575,000 people worldwide died.
@M0UAW_IO83
@M0UAW_IO83 4 жыл бұрын
Some numbers for you. Seasonal Flu has approx 1% mortality rate, 2009 Swine Flu was 0.026%, www.nhs.uk/news/cancer/swine-flu-deaths-examined/ That means seasonal flu is 38 times more likely to kill you than swine flu. Corona is estimated to have a mortality rate of 3.4% so thats 130 times more likely to kill you than swine flu. Grab a calculator and multiply 575,000 by 130.

I come from Italy, from one of the three regions where the virus expanded. Here the situation is pretty bad because we were told by the government to stay home, unless necessary movements. In supermarkets you have to stay at least 2 meters away from each person and only a limited number of people can enter. The main problem of the virus is that if it doesn't stop expanding, the hospital capacity will run out soon, which will bring to horrible. I think that what they are doing in the other countries is correct, maybe to late.

It hasn't affected me much. In the States, they have cancelled college and professional sports and requested gatherings of 250+ to be postponed. I have 2 part time jobs. One is in public taking surveys and the other is substitute teaching. I'm not sure they will schedule me to work for either with schools being cancelled or prolonged Spring Break (a week off in March for schools). In the States people are hoarding toilet paper and no one knows why. The panic-ers started buying it up for some odd reason. Now it's hard to find. It's all happened in a couple of days as well which is kind of surreal. I have a group of friends in South Africa trying to get home and another friend in Spain trying to get home and a set in Hawaii trying to get home. Hawaii won't be bad, but Spain and South Africa will be tough. I drove to get breakfast this morning and the streets were pretty empty and I can't hear a lot of traffic. A little strange.

I think pretty much like you. I’ve never seen anything like this before in my 44 years. It’s crazy. I have two high risk members of my family. I want to prepare and take reasonable precautions but not panic. Right now I need just my regular groceries and the stores are like empty. It’s nuts. Can we ever just hit a happy medium? Or maybe everyone else is like me and not really sure what that happy medium actually is.....

Excellent video m8, watched it all through, you've inspired me to wash and clean my new first car ive had for about a month. A 2009 ford fiesta Titanium. I just need to buy various bits and bobs to do so.

Another superb job as always. Many of the other detailers should take note of your methods. Too many of them just skip pulling out the seats. More work...of course but well worth it. Again good job my friend. Oh...and I see you had Moose cleaned and detailed. 😁 Hope you're your all settled in the new house.

Hey bud, been watching your vids for along time! Loving all the videos you do. I too am a detailer, try and use hot water in your new carpet cleaner machine instead of more shampoo! Even though you’re sucking up shampoo you’re just using more shampoo to suck up shampoo, kind of get what I mean? So use your sprayer with shampoo how you already do, but in your new carpet extractor use plain hot water and you’ll see see some nicer and cleaner results. The whole point of having the water is so you can extract all the shampoo left behind from your sprayer 👍🏻 hope you like the results even more from your new machine! Hope that helps! Thank you so much for what you do and keep up the AMAZING work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Oh mate , a great video , but my heart sank when you broke out the silicon @19:00 I like the cordless drill idea and the steamer works a treat... Looks good , right i'm off to do mine :-) The centre caps cost you £9:99 if you take into account the wee penny in the centre console :-) Over here in Turkey everyone is wearing a mask and it is required to wear one if you go into any shop, also the government is sending 5 masks to every Turkish citizen every week, we are getting on top of it here my girlfriend in the UK says that the shops are still busy (april 8-2020) and no body wears a mask and they stare at her for wearing one. The UK needs to get a hold of this . Stay safe Keep well Best wishes from a Brit in Turkey :-)

Waiting for someone like me to buy it! Gary your work is first class mate. I'm more disappointed with the people who have stockpiled food etc. That would not have happened in the past, selfish people who don't think about anyone else.

just a word of warning dude watch that karcher puzzi attachment the clear plastic triangle on the front which you see the dirt and muck coming up through has a tendency of cracking the two small screws lugs which are part of the screen that hold it on ive replaced this four times. Its because the screen sits proud on the attachment so when you start sucking up the water from seats carpet etc... its has the first pressure against it basically there not meant to be sweeped say going from a vertical carpet to a floor it one stroke sorry for the long explanation just a heads up

On Thursday , I am due to visit friends in Glasgow - both over 70 and in the rudest of rude health. I have a bit of a cold - just a stuffed up nose - no fever, no coughing, no aches or pains, and it is clearing up. My neighbours had a holiday in Japan returning over a week ago. They are both back at work and are absolutely fine. However. there have been 6 cases of Coronal Virus in the Ayrshire and Arran Health Board area - none in Troon, where I stay, that I know of. I think I will get and ask if they want to postpone. It is only right. On the other hand, I am so old (!) I remember Hong Kong Flu (HKF) in the early 1960's. I was at school at the time. One day out of the 40-odd in the class, about 15 turned up. When my turn came to have it (HKF), my elder brother and I were kept at home, dosed with Lucozade (which I did not particularly like) Beecham's Powders, mince and other 'comfort food' by Mum. We went back to school after a few days. Extending that, I had grand parents who probably had Spanish Flu at the end of the First War which killed the wildly speculative extremes of 20,000,000 to 50,000,000 deaths. Clearly this is NOT predicted with Corona! My opinion - extreme measures, it seems, but better safe etc. One thing: If I have to self-isolate (God forbid) |I will not be stocking up with loo rolls, pasta and tins of spam. It will be steak, wine, a Single Malt, perhaps, chocolate, blancmange, crisps etc. - and enough box sets to last the piece! Finally - another great video. I though of my school days at Marr College and got all classical. I openly admit that I looked this up. And what I looked up was (because I am writing this on the Ides of March): 'Non omne quod nitet aurum est.' 'Not all that glitters (sometimes translated as 'glisters' ) is gold.' This applies to all your videos - not least the latest. Looking forward to the next one. keep going, Young Sir. Give Moose (lovely dog) a pat from me... Best, Alistair.

It quite serious, but besides my wife and I being more cautious and avoiding large groups it hasn’t effected us much. Let’s hope the warm weather can kill this virus along with people being more cautious.

I work in a hospital here in the states (Ohio). Things have taken a dramatic turn here. Our governor has jumped on it and is handling things as close to the way Japan has as he can. The federal government, on the other hand was slow to respond so people did not take it seriously. Each state is left to handle it as they see fit....not a good plan. I hate to see things shut down but if we can put up with a few weeks of misery, we will all be better off in the long run. For me, My job will be very interesting (and difficult) for the foreseeable future and luckily for me, they are committed to pay us, regardless. I feel for all the people put out during this time not to mention the travel, restaurants and entertainment industry. Very sad. Prayer to all....we will get through it....maybe we will all learn something.

I 1st time viewer. Great show! You got great results on the Ford Zetec In answer to your question: I live in the states and my daughter is a brain cancer patient fresh off chemo so the virus hits way to close to home for us. Lots of panic buying in the shops here and affected numbers rising every day. I think we acted too slowly, especially in the US.
