Jeff Riggs, Maddie Poppe is by far, my favorite vocalist from 2018 American Idol. She sings with full-voice from her diaphragm like professional vocalists. Gabby Barrett on the other hand, constricts her voice by tightening the larynx and the muscles surrounding it which restricts her true voice and isn't good for her voice and in the long-run could damage her vocals. In closing, I will always vote for a quality vocal performance over fan favorites. Go, ​Maddie!
