Even the title - “rambling”…. Did they actually listen to the speech? He touched on all of the important points that matter to voters in this election cycle, recounted his near assassination and consistently called for the unity of all Americans. It was brilliant… as a classically liberal (now centrist) person, his speech was warm, funny, sincere and very compelling. It is clear that these commentators have got long held dislike for him and as a result they are being very disingenuous.

I'm a moderate Dem. I thought the first 35 mivs of the speech was fine & showed his humanity and focused on unity. Afterwards he went he went back to the usual Hannibal Lechter , Nancy Pelosi, shark stories and blame game. I was waiting for what new policies he was going forward with.
