You make your food sound like it taste like heaven on earth! It is true though, that the food does taste extra incredible when out there!!! Sweet videos Troy, I am on my 3rd round of this particular trip. I have a few of "The Adeventure Map's " and am following your trip on that. Passes the winter by. Phil

@Bond007starcraft I did. I'll be making a more detailed video of cooking that meal up. I just used a packaged of frozen shrimp which I then thawed and tossed in the dehydrator. I'll definitely be doing that one again. They came out great. When dehydrated they're very light and feel and sound like little pieces of plastic.

Hey its so addictive to follow your trip footage (complete episodes) so amazing solo trip but I just wonder you never encounter any wild animals along your way. perhaps they are in season of hibernating.

Fantastic vids Maddy, watched them last year and implemented some of your ideas on a canoe trip in the Canadian shield of eastern Manitoba and it worked out great. Reviewing your trip and picking up some more tricks. Thinking of drilling the holes in my thwart for the bungee cord. What size did you end up drilling, happy with the remaining strength? Are you using one long or series of bungies? Hope you do more trips and tricks soon.

I'm working through your great trip here and concerning your heavy pack weight giving you hips a hard time..... I wondered if you had seen those one wheeled pack thingies, supposed to half the weight you carry on you as the wheel takes the other half.

It's a shame you got so much wind on this leg of the trip, and had to focus so much on task. Happy Isle and Merchant are my favourite lakes in Algonquin, and they're often glassy-smooth. Mind you, I tend to go in the spring or late summer; whereas you mentioned you were going at the beginning of the moose rut. If the amount of wind dissuaded you from this area, I'd recommend another trip - it's a seriously gorgeous area.

So glad I came across your channel. I'm addicted to these solo adventures. What canoe do you have?! I'm on the market for a tripping canoe and really like yours. Looks to be super light weight. Thanks

Was wondering with all the rain you were getting if at any point you were worried about flash flooding? I'm from St. Louis and spend a lot of time canoeing the Ozark riverways and I can tell you with the amount of rain so far on your trip, if it were the Ozarks, you'd be in a big heap of trouble due to flooding. Anyway, great channel and thanks for sharing!

+CPrzywojski Not so much, I was in Algonquin park and luckily flash flooding isn't really a problem there.

Can you tell us how old you were when you made this trip. You seem to fix really great meals. Does Maddy stay in her bag all night? do you have to put her in it or does she do that on her own? what kind of bag does she have? thanks.

Most likely he has a portable filter... Either that or he boils the water and cools it down afterwards.

Maddy gets her regular grub on the trail, but one difference is that she also gets a little extra from my plate which never happens at home. Makes for one happy camper :)
