Adding links in the description for the vendors you talked to would be a great value for the viewers and industry. Thank you for these cool videos for those of that can't make it to all the industry shows!

I did just that; thanks for your patience. That said, I just linked directly to their website, as many of the products are not available yet. I time-stamped each segment for an outline. Thanks for watching. -Neil

These videos are great and while I was just one more attendee, it was fun being able to welcome people to Portland - obviously the greatest city on earth - and to show people how we do bikes and community here. The guy talking about Sim Works is my neighbor Aron and he's the nicest person on the planet. I do, however, have one minor criticism and it's something that many media outlets overlook: Hire local photographers and videographers. Bikepacking is generally phenomenal for publishing content people from all over make, which makes the website and magazine so solid.

you had me at friction brifters. take my money.

I feel like those Growtac friction brifters are going to do well. I'd be particularly interested if they made some shiny silver levered versions for a more classic look.

Those look really interesting; we're excited to check them out.

I'm most interested to feel the way they are to grip and pull the lever from the tops. Aside from Shimano having cut a line between their road and mountain sets since 10sp, I haven't got on with their levers too well from an ergonomics perspective for about as long. I liked the first gen Di2, but all the followups have been too chunky. Would have liked to have used a short cage mountain der with a clutch on my gravel/cx setups, but they've made a point of making sure you can't. I'll probably be running Campy 10sp next

“I’m going to convert my index shifting to friction shifters on the downtube and install clip/strap pedals. Maybe 18mm tires too. ” Said nobody outside of Portland.

I would definitely let these interviews breath a little more. Edit is a bit rushed. Let us hear more details! BTW, love the mic :)

Amazing products, but the price level on many of these is just mindboggling. Nearly $200 for a set of pedals? $350 for the Beacon light.. I'm sure there are plenty of people who can afford these, but sheesh.. :)
@weatheranddarkness23 күн бұрын
there have been $200 pedals for a while, but it seems that pricepoint has been representing lower and lower models pretty quickly.

That rear light looks nice. Does anybody know the price yet ?

What bars are those you are using, Josie?

Very trendy. Although some builders seem way ahead of the curve. They should have a separate show altogether. The end result question should be? How does it ride. Very Subjective.

A nice video with tantalising snippets of products. Like other comments I’d like a little more detail and would be happy to watch a much longer video of this bike porn😂

I liked the surfing music, but then I thought Portland,......hmmmm,.....Wind surfing on the Columbia. I guess these bags gain increasing importance. More and more people use electric bikes and leave the car home.

Nice but very summier, I would have liked a much longer elaboration and a way broader variety of products. when you say nearly 200 bike builders and what nots, why just pick out one. When it is about paying you guys, why not do a extended product presentation of a paying customer, and a more light fly by of other brands.

I’m confused, did you watch the video? There are 10 different manufacturers in this video, not just one.

@@Odlum40 WOW! I mean a little more...I mean like over a a hundred and than zooming in on various things extensionally, and to some in birds eye view. When I for instance look for a bidon, I probably already get over 25 good and well producing brands, with various special bidons for purposes, and so onward. And world wide about over 250 manufacturers that make serious and functional bidons. I mean it can be a little longer video and a little more elaboration. I mean when I want ice cream I want to stare what I want to have and see the product, it takes me up to at least ten minutes, to even decide which three balls of ice cream I want on my cone...so...maybe it is me lol. I like to spend pennies wisely see...and eye ball the product...? I can't be the only one of my kind now am I? ;D B.t.w. it is compliments to what I already just saw. It means I want to start look at it in a better way...that is a sales intention right? ;) Now for that little more information!!! Hehehe
