i truly hope the 7th layer of the abyss is purely made out of flesh, besides the obvious eyes and teeth like spikes in the vast pit of the 7th layer if you look really closely on the map of the abyss in the manga you can see the walls look veiny and tissue like, makes me exited to see how tsukushi will illustrate and build the world that awaits us.

For the theory on the note being Rikos flesh, the fact that it's indestructible might be due to the 6th layers curse? No idea if any part of a human that returns gets hit with it or not but if its anything like Mitty's immortality it could explain Ozens inability to break the note

I dont think the shock was what made reg lose his memory. i think he lost his memory after he used his last shot, basically factory resetting him. Then the shock gave him juice again, basically turning him on.

I think reg is probably the ultimate end to the abyss. I imagine his form would be the final potential stage of surviving the abyss. Reg has every tool needed to conquer the abyss. He climbed from the bottom. He's immune to the curse. and He basically can take a hit from pretty much anything and not get turned into a splatter stain. The fact we see a glimpse of lyza in similar fashion as Reg has me believing that either a civilzation or number of individuals who have 'completed' or reached the bottom of the abyss, created those bodies to survive the abyss or the abyss itself once you reach the final curtain will transform you into something like reg. But i also have another theory outside of this, being the helmit and arm reg has is actually Lyza. Given, the beam annihilates everything it touches. I wouldnt be surprised if lyza is a empty shell or something entirely at the bottom of the abyss. Reason being is that the further you go down, the more you end up sacrificing. After the 5th layer, most of the characters didnt even have their original forms anymore. Baldred went mad and experimented on children. Ozen is barely sane with her literal hair morphing to combat the abyss. the fifth layer, you have to sacrifice someone you love which is a pretty hefty fine. Group avatar literally gave up their humanity to survive the sixth layer. How far are you willing to go to reach the bottom of the abyss? Lyza sacrificed her lover and a life with her daughter to explore the abyss. as far as we know she has no other motive but to see the bottom of the abyss. Exactly how far did lyza go and is she still sane? I imagine the most tenacious determined person would

How about the theory the abyss is expanding. In the anime when the ganja arrived it was a hole in the center with giant forest around, flashforward to modern time the hole expanded to the edges of the island. Maybe that's what the 2000 year thing is about.

i think the 1st theory is pretty unlikely, as when we see flashbacks of reg with faputa (before he lost his memory) he says he can't use his incinerator yet to help her because he has something else he has to do and that hes looking for 'haku' which means thing with most value in the show. so i think we can rule out the possibility of him being some kind of assassin for riko. but i do agree that there was definitely something odd about the way that scene of them meeting is set up.

Bondrewd is the sovereign of Dawn. But which dawn? We all assumed that it was the dawn above them. What if it is the one below? What if every 2,000 years a light powerful enough to rewrite the rules of the abyss erupts from the seventh layer? What if It reconfigures the abyss but keeps the curse in effect. What if the abyss we see now is not how the abyss always was. That would explain a boat on the third layer wall and cities on the sixth level (not the golden city). On another subject, I think Lyza is controlling Reg. Remember when Reg said that "someone" was controlling his body when he was fighting Bondrewd? I think was Lyza. If Lyza had an army of "robot boys" she could possess by use of a second Zoaholic she would surely be the annihilator. Finally about Reg's name. Lyza named Reg after her dog and then left the dog behind to keep Riko company before she made her last dive. Riko, daughter like mother, also named Reg after her dog.

I'm pretty sure Reg's amnesia came from using up his last charge. He made it all the way up, probably without a recharge on the way, and chose to use his very last charge to save Rico. Which means we may see him lose his memory again if he gets that desperate. I'm slightly less sure but really hopeful that the being that possessed Reg during Dawn of the Deep Soul was actually Lyza. Imagine if she's been peeking through him periodically and after his big recharge (when he felt a lot of consciousnesses before being taken over by one) she peeked in and realized if Reg was at Bondrewd's place then Bondrewd had her daughter. If that's the case, we've gotten a glimpse of the Annihilator in action.

My theory is that the girl type is Lysa. And Ricko wile become a aubade and ascent to the Orth. The only evidence I have is that girl type kind of loke like Lysa and when Ricko is hit by the 3 layers curs she has an illusion where is and her mother is ascent to the Orth.

Hey iv got a question, and I haven't seen or heard anything about it, but why would lyza give riko her white whistle, since the white whistle brings out the true potential in relics, you would think lyza would keep it, and since nobody else can use it, I'm quite a bit curious, also on how her white whistle was brought back up past layer 6, was it bondred that brought it back up? That seems unlikely

@@zyration1508 I mean, if Bondrewd had no particular use for it, he might send it up. I don't think he's NOT a team player after all.. he is still interested in "the quest" of exploring the abyss. So if he thought his fellow whistles might get some use or information out of it, I don't see why he wouldn't send up messages and stuff. Furthering the goals of the cave divers is still one of his main goals I would reckon.

The first one makes no sense whatsoever. If his goal was to kill Riko he didnt need to fire and risk missing his shot, he just needed to do nothing and let Riko get eaten by the monster...

The pendant location paints the idea that reg was already in the are around the floor and the point of origin of regs blast do not coincide with one another. And paint the idea that reg made a conscious choice to find an angle that put riko in the direct line of fire. If he wanted to make sure he put riko in the least amount of danger, the angle the shot would had produced at the floor would had pointed above riko and not straight at her like the one in the story. Hell in the anime we actually see riko stumble to the floor and the shot going right almost over her head Furthermore, the "incinerator" is actually named a "rewriter" by reg before he lost his memories. Meaning that shot would not necessarily kill riko. Just "rewrite" her. Whatever that actually means and it can mean whatever. So that means pre memory loss reg wanted this "rewrite" to happen. Instead of riko outright dying to the splitjaw.

@@kennethsosa7542- In his final flashback with Faputa, he says his rewriter is “really a power [he] shouldn’t use right now” because he “doesn’t know what will happen the next time [he uses] it” and that he is “sure [his] haku will help with the problem of the remaining charges.” The fact that he fired the incinerator and hit the splitjaw, saving Riko in the process, based off of this dialogue, would suggest he found his haku and had faith that he would be recharged

​@@Vulpolox after the airing of this video I have reviewed the crimson splitjaw attack in both manga and anime. Both differ wildly. The anime shows reg not having a direct line of fire. While also putting riko in direct danger. The manga however. Shows a much different scene painting the idea that reg did not have line of sight and did not even have time to look at the splitjaw before he blasted his incinerator. Is there anything to suggest that reg ID riko as his Haku from an approximate distance of 200 meters. While riko also stating there was visibility factor that day of approximately 150 meters?

@@kennethsosa7542 - Riko, after being saved by Reg from the Corpse Weeper, said that when she was initially saved by him, he must have had a very good grasp over using his incinerator as it was much smaller compared the one he had just fired (this control is later demonstrated in the Ozen fight). If he was trying to blow her away back then, he could have easily fired a massive blast to ensure he did the job; instead, he fired a small and precise one that only hit the splitjaw Edit: where is it stated that he fired from 200m? Also where does it say the visibility was only 150m the day Riko was attacked? Edit edit: “The force field must be especially strong today. We can probably only see to around 150 meters” refers to the forcefield’s previously described ability to hinder view from above; it does not limit the distance one can see laterally. That line refers to a descending gondola becoming obscured by the aforementioned phenomenon

@@kennethsosa7542 That's a few reasoning fallacies: First and foremost, presenting a hypothesis, and then attempting to back it up with evidence will always lead you down the cherry-picking route. It should be the opposite, you should gather all the evidence, and then see what it points to. So, that's my problem #1, backwards reasoning, or cherry-picking. Alternatively, you should start with the hypothesis, and attempt to falsify it. Only when you have insufficient evidence to falsify it will you arrive at a theory. That's my problem #2, people don't try to falsify their "theories". It gets so bad that Frightranker has to step up and ask the obvious question at 15:05. The thing is, it's pretty easy to find at least some supporting evidence for most claims. In order for it to be a theory, there must be no alternative explanations, especially the ones that are more plausible. Let's take the skin theory for example: 1)The cut matching "almost completely" is a manipulative way to say that it doesn't match. "Hey, this word is almost the same as this word, so they must be the same word" is the reasoning here. 2) Every human has nose area, it doesn't uniquely point to Riko. 3) A lot of people wear glasses. Just because Riko is one of the few characters we see wearing glasses, doesn't mean that's a sound conclusion. 4) All of that is assuming this is human skin. It would make infinitely more sense if it was skin of someone like Reg, because that actually explains the toughness. 5) All of this rests on the assumption that it is skin, which itself is unfounded. Just because it can be skin, doesn't mean it is. It can also be something else. The evidence doesn't support it being a skin, it only makes sense if you assume it is skin. 6) Even if you assume it is, this leaves a giant problem of Riko's face currently being intact, which means for this assumption to work, further assumptions are needed, such as cloning or time travel, and they are not accounted for in the "theory", instead, it's implied that they are further conclusions or parts of a reasoning chain. 7) "It is also my belief that riko somehow addressed this letter from the bottom of the abyss to herself" - why? Assuming everything said earlier in the argument is true, what grounds are there to think that she sent her own face up to herself, compared to any other alternative explanation? If anything, I would expect someone else to send her face up. This is what I mean by it being wild speculation, it's just assertions. This was just 1 example, and it's fallacy upon fallacy. I can't realistically spend time debunking all of this. It takes little effort to come up with random nonsense, but it takes a lot more work to explain why that is indeed nonsense. I'm sorry that it feels like I'm just calling things out without explaining why, but at the same time, I don't see a way to explain logical inconsistencies to people who can't think critically. If one doesn't see the reasoning problems already, the chances are they won't see them no matter how much I explain them.
