To be fair, nuzlocke rules mean she couldn't use either of those two pokemon in the upcoming battles. So even if she did full heal her party, she'd effectively be going into the two final battles with only four Pokemon, two of which being highly underleveled. It would've been the smart play to backtrack anyways to pick up other party members before coming in with a full team.

Yeah she'd still have to go drop off the two lost mons or they'd end up involved in future battles should she have lost the rest. At that point it'd still be a loss but it's better to backtrack to get replacements to avoid wandering into battles without a full team.

Black 2 and White 2 was my first 999.99 playtime Pokemon game, it got me into competitive battling, i 100%ed the movie studio, along with the plaza thing i have had so many memories with these games the fact that old Pokemon came back in this game made it even better i remember getting a level 10 Lucario before the 1st badge..

The Unova Saga continues! Black2 and White2 truly feel like the end of the ‘classic’ Pokémon games, with the main games switching to 3D visuals in the next installments! I think Game Freak really did a great job with these sequels, continuing the story with Team Plasma while adding tons of new features and elements to the Unova region!

I've only played Black 2 twice, and I loved every moment of it! I even managed to get my hands on a pre-owned copy of White 2 from my local GameStop a couple of months ago! The player had stopped right before they were about to challenge the Pokemon League, so I picked up where they left off! I plan to do some multiplayer with it once I finish my current Black playthrough, and Black 2 for a third time!

While I do enjoy some of modern Pokemon (I do actually really like Sun and Moon, Legends: Arceus, and Scarlet and Violet), I have to agree that even they can't really hold a candle to the DS era.

​@@heroofthewinds7765 I wish I knew whether I felt the same way bc of nostalgia bias or because it's actually true but yeah gen 5 was just the culmination of a lot of different factors making it the highest in terms of pure quality we've gotten period. Like you're saying though a lot of new pokemon isn't as bad as it's made out to be a lot of the time. Like there were some good and some bad for sure. And especially more recent entries have their flaws, but I guess I can also just see why it happened? Like going from handheld to console is actually a big leap, and SWSH era was apparently not even supposed to be on the switch until halfway through dev so it makes sense in the same way making over 500 3D models bogged down XY. Now they're rebuilding through creating new engines to work from, but it's obviously tough to do that on their release schedule in modern times. Just a lot of factors that have made more recent entries seem like they have less thought or effort put into them when in reality it's probably bc they just ran out of time to fully implement. But there's clearly effort in the writing and gameplay iterations of ORAS, gen 7, Legends, gen 9, etc. that goes unsung sometimes in favor of praising decade old games that have issues like limited TMs, inconvenient and abundant HMs, lack of fast competitive resources for IVs and EVs, and even things like unevolved or repeating pokemon in the E4 going conveniently silent in comparison. To me some of the cons of modern pokemon compare almost evenly to ones found in widely praised entries as well. I could say similar things about the narratives of gens 4, 6, and 8. Or the pacing of gens 2 and 7. Or the 'faithful'ness of FireRed and BDSP. I guess the point is, it's worth trying later entries that do get some things right.

I still remember the time I traded over an archeops for a black 2 playthrough I did. I felt bad for ghetsis when I ended up oneshotting black kyruem with it. I couldn't help but imagine him in the middle of his evil speech only to watch his plan fall apart before he could finish. To this day it is still one of the funniest things I have ever happened in a playthrough.

Her losing her Magneton was a direct result of not evolving it back at Chargestone Cave. Which it unintuitive because there is only like a trainer tips sign that tells you about the electro-magnetic stuff needed for the evolution.

One thing I do with my friends that you two might enjoy; if both of you do a run at the same time and after each gym battle you do a vs match. Now nuzlock rules would have to pause during these, but since she names her rival after you anyways it could be fun for you to ACTUALLY be her rival

I think doing some of the post story stuff would add to the experience of playing so many games. Like seeing Cynthia again in Black 2 or all the other gym leaders/Champions in PWT, I also really liked the battle facility "Black Tower" as an area you can still grind levels and strategically pick and choose your battles. Even though you can out level them you can't really fight everyone with out running out of PP. There are other interesting encounters and characters you can talk to after you beat the game. Like black1 Mom, Alder, going to N's destroyed castle.
