Buy a muffler valve like xforce that you weld on to your exhaust and then you can open/ close the exhaust. You can open it slightly as well so you can keep it loud but not obnoxious

Just throw a magnaflow 10415 somewhere in the middle it will lower the “loudness” but keep a good tone!

I literally just did something like this a couple weeks ago. I'm running JDL UEL catless headers into a 3" Nameless Performance exhaust with a hi-flow cat. It had 2 resonators along the way and 2 5" mufflers. Crackle tune blew out one of the resonators which affected the mufflers so I ended up with a 3" straight pipe from the broken resonator back. I never thought I'd say it, but it's definitely too loud lol. Can't really talk to someone else in the car or hear any music, highway sucks. On the other hand, I drive a lot slower and more calm😇

The wrap can be buffed, use a light compound and polish on a high speed orbital and it should take it off. Just make sure to use light passes as to not heat it up too much, the heat would make the wrap mailable and could mess it up. I’d do it at night in the garage when it’s cooler 👍

I can already tell you are uncomfortable with it and you are totally right, it’s loud af. Maybe cool if you want to be loud and gather attention but can be insanely annoying to drive on a daily bases. I always put, it’s cool having a loud car until you go inside and start foaming out the mouth because it drones so badly or overall is just too loud. Unpopular opinion but maybe get a setup that’s on the quieter side so you can hear straight supercharger blow off valve noises and what not.

I use the music test for exhaust sound. If you can't hear the tunes (without cranking the volume), then the exhaust is too loud. By the sounds of it, it's too loud..... Sounds good, but it's up to you dude. I like it, but I think it would be annoying if you like listening to music as you drive a daily 🤣

coming from a 86 owner, my 2016 frs is straight pipe and i daily it and its gets old...i love it but yea its super loud and cold starts are ear piercing especially during winter. i got mine down back in Jan. im looking into the tomei 80r or greddy rs single exit since i deleted my diffuser for chassis mount wing and bash bar. My current exhaust set up is a custom cat back with 2.5 inch pipe with a Y in the middle of my car to 4inch tips.
