Love the Downtown. Can't wait to get going on mine. Might have to put a few other things on the back burner! I bought some tan faux suede the other day, having seen someone make a Downtown using that fabric. I bought the regular fit, but still deciding what length and back to do. It might need to be the seam as I'm not sure the fabric will take the pleat. Also not sure whether to do buttonholes or poppers, but I will need to get the necessary tools for my Prym press. I also need to lower bust darts, so will have to be aware of that. I did lose my sew-jo a little, but I am now cracking on with my linen trousers so should be finished with those soon. I ordered a few winter fabrics as well, for some nice cosy tops and bottoms for in the house. My hubby has requested another fleece backed cardigan as well, so one of the fabrics is for him! Off to York tomorrow, so there might be more fabric to come!!

Hi Kim, I love your jacket. It looks very classy. After making 10 dresses for #dressagirl24 my mojo went again. I'm also knitting socks, but then I knit them all year round. Like you, need something to do while watching tv. Have a good week. x

@@linvin18 thanks Linda. Wow 10 dresses for #dressagirl24. I heard about this too late, but would definitely like to do something next year. If you have a girl's dress pattern in mind let me know and I'll purchase it in readiness for next year's challenge. I love a bit of sock knitting. I bought a lot of sock yarn in the pandemic and have been working my way through it, also bought some of the hand-dyed sock yarns at the Stitching & Knitting shows and have been hooked on knitting socks ever since. I'm still deciding whether to go to the show next week or not. Have a good week. Hopefully your sewjo will come back soon. ❤️

@stash_stitcher Hi Kim, there are free patterns for the dressagirl. I'll send you a link. It's such a lovely charity, and as the dresses have to be cotton, I've used some of my quilting cottons. I'd love to go to Ally Pally next week but I'd have to go by train and it would take 3 hours. I don't drive anymore, never mind, at least I'll save some pennies. x
