Beyoncé is a very varied singer. She definitely uses her voice as an instrument and strategically stretches it very carefully and cautiously, never damaging it or stretching it too much. It's very carefully bendable and flexible. She knows where to adds touches of lightness, airiness, heaviness, rawness, sultriness, soulfulness, etc. at the right times and in the right spaces. That's what makes her vocals dynamic. She's not just an entertainer, she's definitely a showstopper of a vocalist. Space in music is extremely important and she uses space very well. I like how her voice has developed and gotten richer with time and years. It's extremely rich in its development right now. The richness allows her to move through a lot of different genres but still maintain her R&B essence. Vocally, she has a golden honeyed flare.

You need an award from for that comment.That was beautiful and I ran upon a channel,they had Beyonce vs.Mariah's vocals.I hated to see so many people saying Mariah was better.But, I love them both.Bee is untouchable though. She is extremely iconic,especially the Spirit album along with the voice of Nyla.She's also a good actress and performer.

You are clearly very uneducated. "Screaming" as you call it is when singers try to belt high notes but don't have the capabilty so the notes become strained and unsupported. Adele is a great example of this. Beyonce's belts are always connected and supported due to her technique and vocal experience.

She is the main triggering point that made me love singing AND dancing even more. BeyoncezSon the only trouble is half of the performance is lip synced lol, so no point in reacting to it. Lip synced parts: first chorus, then from « boy, maybe if you cared enough » to « well IIIIII care, I know you care to much, but I still care, baby » then she goes live again with « I still care, baby, I still caaAAaAaAare, cAaAaAAAAAaaaaaaaaaare........ » until the end.

A lot of vocal coaches that I’ve watched reacting to Beyoncé’s performances say or insinuate that Be growls on purpose, wich is absolutely incorrect; she used not to growl this way when she was younger, her voice used to be clear in her middle register and a lot clearer in her upper register. But since 2004, her voice evolved in a way that when she’s hitting high notes, her voice growls. Somedays it’s more « growly » than others, somedays it’s clearer. My voice does the same so I understand how her voice works. If I’m trying to have a clear sound when I hit high notes, I’m hurting my vocal cords.
@MrsNiaboo20005 жыл бұрын
She does do it on purpose because she come right back to a clean vocal right after a growl.
@adamadiallo37595 жыл бұрын
Uh i think you’re so wrong. She’s making a stylistic choice to growl, it’s slowly but surely becoming her “staple” but she’s had MANY recent performances where she wa able to reach high notes without growling. I doubt Beyoncé struggles at reaching anything, you can see that she practices ALOT and knows her voice so She definently wouldn’t let discomfort change how she sings, instead she would work to fix whatever the discomfort is.
@Gameworks14075 жыл бұрын
She does growl on purpose. She can also sing clearly still. A lot of the formation world tour belts have been clear and even in the OTR2.
@Gameworks14075 жыл бұрын
It also didn't develop like that she used to growl even before 2004. It seems growling has grown into a habit for Beyoncé. And if you can't belt without growling, and end up hurting yourself, you haven't developed your belts properly.
@SteadyNUnremitting5 жыл бұрын
The vocal coaches are right. It's stylist choice. Even back in early Destiny's child, she growled too. The difference is, her range expanded and her voice got fuller. If she didn't have control over her growls, her voice would be damaged.
