I have not ever attended the bachelorette party before, but it sounds fantastic. In my country, there are a lot of things to do before the wedding party, so the grooms and brides have no time to relax. They might be stress, even don’t have a honeymoon.

Hi Mark! In Brazil we have those parties, but there are some differences. The groom's friends usually contract a girl from a strip club to be at bachelor party (that is in the house of one of them) and make a surprise to the groom. They start the party playing some drinking games for exemplo, and then, the groom's friends say that they have a gift for him. So they bring a big box that looks like a big white cake, with that girl inside. She goes out from the cake and start dancing and so on. Actually, I think the most commom in my country is to go to a bar or go dancing. I'm not a specialist in this area. ^^ I've never been in a bachelorette party, and I think I'll not like it because I don't drink and I don't like the kind of jokes people usually do in this case. I know that some women prefer to do somethings like "chá de casa" to receive as a gift some items to furnish some part of their new house, or "chá de lingerie" to receive some nice underwear to use during the honeymoon. :)

in Azerbaijan's' culture has to visit the "groom bath" before a wedding. Before my wedding, I couldn't go to this bath, because I was too poor. But this event happens for a long time in our culture. It is not like a strip club ;) it is only to bathe from head to toes alone, or there is another serviceman who will bath you. Of course, after the wedding, maybe your wife will bath you so this day will be your last alone bathe ;) Also, we have a Henna party for brides :)

Here in Indian Christian family one day before the marriage we have a small ceremony at brides' and bridegroom's house. Brides godfather and godmother gives sugary water to the bride 3 t to taste and spit into a bowl for 3 times and then the guests comes to give gifts to bride and have food with the bride's family and same vice versa happens at bridegroom house too.

Hi, I'm from Barcelona (Spain), here for many years, it was fashionable to go to that kind of parties (the gays to see a striptease show and the girls to see boys doing erotic contortions... but fortunately today it's outcool. Now we usually spend a weekend trip anywhere outside of your own city (just men and women friends separately). In my opinion, countries that don't follow this tradition don't miss anything.
