When I got married, many years ago, I wasn't a wife material at all, I didn't even think it over. I knew only a few things about house making: how to wash, iron, clean and cook two or three meals. During my life I divorced, wanted to create a family again, learned so many things to do by myself and became a "wife material". But the desire to get married again left me forever😁 In my opinion it doesn't matter what qualities you have, a material you or not, the main thing is to know how to build normal healthy relationships with a partner for living. I can be wrong, but this is a small part of my thinking out loud🤪 Take care 🤗

Hi, Mark! Thank your very much for the video! Your videos are really cool and profound. Food for thought along with helpful vocabulary:) I wouldn't venture to discuss about you as "husband material", it's a too delicate topic and I think we know our qualities better than anyone else. But you're definitely soul mate material! (Probably this expression sounds funny in English but you get what I mean). I would be great I you'd make a live stream at some point. When you're in the mood. Your subscribers would definitely enjoy talking with you! Thank you again!

I'd assume that he's an asshole... Or he just doesnt like this particular woman. How can you predict? I'm old enough to have seen many people and lifestories. If a man likes a woman, he doesn't care if she's a good material or not. I've seen many men who got married and happily lived ever after, even if she is not ideal from the outside look. An the other way around! But being married is not a garantee of anything for both sides - risky and unreliable, and often dangerous. PS If you "shop" woman, looking at her like at the shop item, looking at the options and parameters, be prepared to fail - there must be both feelings and passion (on both sides). Otherwise, life together would be a torture for both. Just imagine - you live with a person and you must pretend you love her and you want her. How long will you be able to handle it?

I am from India. Material means something that can be eaten, drunk or enjoyed in a way to fulfill your desire ie. that can quench your thirst like hot drinks, food. A girl who can't be your wife apparently but if you get her, you can get physical enjoyment. In this sense we Bengalis use it here in India. Kindly respond to me whether my explanation satisfies you or not.

Hi Mark, the word “material” really sounds kind of offensive to my ears, but if there have been an expressions regarding husbands, at least it would sound more fair to women😅. In Armenian we do have this type of expression, it’s like a “not a THING to take her to house” which is very offensive sounding as well. As you raise this topic, I just started to go deeper in my thoughts, especially about the word “material” I think the reason and the root of this humiliating expression is hidden under the way of treating that specific kinds of women who aren’t considered the ones “to take them home”….who knows 🤷🏻♀️😄
@MadEnglishTV3 ай бұрын
Hi 🤗 In English this term isn’t offensive. Actually I think women use this term more often than men. It’s common for single women to use this term to talk about themselves.

@@MadEnglishTV May be instead of using the word “humiliating” I should have used the word “materializing”😄…anyway you got my idea and I got yours🤗❤️

He mentioned “Qualities” in the beginning of the video. There is nothing offensive in this word. Our human mind is very much likely to think differently and then act negatively.

I recently had a conversation with an old lady, and while she was making her point on something, she said that "any guy always knows better than any woman". Note, she is a very educated woman, a technical engineer.. And that shows her wisdom: both women and men must realize what they are. A man is a leader - strong and smart, a defender and a provider, and woman is supposed to be his helper, his support. A wife material woman should understand that she is a sidekick of her hero - her man. Together they create harmony in every aspect of their life..
