Congratulations on your growing family! I wholeheartedly agree with your insights on traveling for artist alley. This past year was my first year traveling out of state to conventions while working a full time job and I was worn out and realized it's just not sustainable for me to do too many events. I did love seeing your booth at a few of those events though and made a point to buy some flowers each time and I love them still! Now I have flowers year-round. I think it's so creative how you recreate the fandom inspired flowers which I don't really see anywhere else. I wish you the best on your next steps! ♥

I started tabling at Cons at 50 yrs old, and my super star helper is my son (15 then). I look at this as an adventure we have together. What you know now is coming to a close, but you can always adapt in the future to what suits you at that time in your life. All the best!

Wowwowowowo, congrats on the baby! I just had a baby seven months ago and it's a lot. I love my little guy so much but PHEW he is a lot of work. I am slowly getting back into doing events but it takes a lot of work and planning with my mom to make sure baby boy is cared for. Best wishes for your delivery. With your personality and how you approach retail in addition to the comments about how cons are evolving their artist alleys in the past year, I can totally see why you are making those type decisions. And yes crochet is definitely a harder way to make it as an artist due to the lack of being able to scale it up unless you are going to hire a large number of people to also crochet for you which leads to issues with paying them and still keeping the products priced at where they can sell. Congratulations on the good news as it sounds like you are going to have an interesting year ahead of you. Looking forward to seeing the little Tinasaurus this summer!

Since you're a min/maxing, dps chart watching, stats loving girlie it does not surprise me you've had no problem with the 'whoever applies first' model hahaha. I did a small biz (mostly enamel pins & stickers) for two years and realized while I love doing the art, i love designing the merch, and sharing with other people - i DID NOT love running a business and have no interest in scaling it to a size where I could afford not to be the one doing all the other stuff that comes along with it. I also do not like traveling nor does sitting at a table all day intrest me so I never tabled anywhere, i kept it all online. I applaud you for jumping right in and giving all of that a full go of it, and I think it's perfectly normal to be like 'naw this part doesn't really work for me.' with less travel and less money spent on tables - maybe you can invest a bit in how the web page works? When I was 'building' my bouquet I found myself wishing there was like some kind of tool that showed me a rudimentary mock up - like even just so I could get a visisual on the size of the flowers comparatively. Just an Idea - I'm an Aerospace Engineer not a software dev lol so I have no idea what the logistic behind something like. But you got a big brain :P Good luck with the bebe and take care of yourself!

HAHAHA those FCFS application days were like raid days - coffee ready, three timers and clocks up on the screen, fingers all warmed up 😂 I've definitely thought about it and while software type stuff is my weak point it's definitely something I'll have more time to look into and would be so cool to have, it would definitely help me stand out!! Aerospace engineering is so impressive BTW ✨️ I'm glad I had the opportunity to give it a full go and also was able to help normalize it not working!! Thank you for the support 🥺🩷

I hear you! It's definitely been a tough year for handmade businesses. 😩 It's important to note that it's a bit trendy too now so it will always come and go. Right now it's hard because of how oversatursted the market is and so many beginners and hobbyists are willing to sell for a lower price. Keep it up 🥺✨️

Ugh Tina 😭😭😭 I loved this video so much haha. I would LOVE to semi keep up with baby if you are comfortable! We’re similar to you in that field where I’m turning 29 later this year and my son turns 2 in March. So later 20s when we had him. It was kinda scary and I also didn’t feel like I was close to 30. I still don’t feel close to 39 lol. I loved your videos bc they gave me a different vibe from everyone else and it felt so relaxing. Whatever you’re comfortable sharing I’d love to watch! We don’t share our baby physically online so we 1000% completely understand that and if we do we cover his face lol. I’m glad they’ve been treating you okay for now. Your bump is so cute and you look so cute!!!! Thank you for sharing with us 🥹 also, the time with them being small goes by fast and I’m thankful that I feel comfortable to do my small kpop events but at one time I didn’t. As a person who been doing local conventions and out of province shows in canada for 10 years it is dam hard to get in but i dont mind if i get in or not for me its about leaving your name as an artist but yes you get mentally drain and stressed with shows and flying but there are people different people who can handle it full time or part time but ya congrats on the baby
