Thank you so much, this is delicious! I appreciate you pointing out that traditional is better way to describe dishes than "authentic", which is hard to define. so basically the Chinese Americans came up with the dish and since then has become a nation wide to international favorite around the world, yes it isn't exactly from china but it does incorporate tastes from both sides so a proper u.s/Chinese fusion of taste and ideas make the best results

Thank you for another wonderful recipe. Instead of fresh oranges, I use orange juice and Korean citron jam. Korean citron jam makes the orange flavor stronger and more complex with its slightly bitter peel in it. Since 50% of the citron jam is sugar, you will need to adjust the sugar quantity in the recipe accordingly. Korean citron jam is wonderful for making sweet tea, hot or cold. You won't find a jar of Korean citron jam wasted.

I don’t recall seeing it here, the first time I had it was at Panda Express in the US. Made this a few nights ago, and my goodness, it was so very good. The double fry is brilliant as it truly makes it crispy. The sauce, I had to change a little to get the flavors as my oranges weren’t as sweet. Put some honey in it and it worked. The sauce is the trickiest part, but my husband helped with taste testing before adding to chicken. Thank you! We will be making this a lot.
