It’s nice of you guys to react to this song. It’s been my most favourite since 2010. So the guy who jumped on the train was the commissioner of police and her fiancé. (She was forced to engage with him) You’ve got the class situation right. She was the daughter of the governor, an Englishman. You should definitely give it a watch with the subtitles on. Might seem like a Titanic ripoff 😂 But it’s absolutely worth the watch ❤️

She is writing his name in Tamil (his mother tongue) and the guy who was tied up is a translator. They tied him up because he didn't want to get involved as he is from a lower class and she is from a higher class. They needed him because she doesn't know Tamil (she is learning though as you can see from her trying to learn from books like Tamil self-taught) and he doesn't know English but they want to talk to each other
