Great video bro. Intimidating for the first time but you give confidence.

What's up Jeff? Great review with a lot of useful information. I also think that to start off with a small amount of water in your container is definitely the way to go until you feel comfortable with the unit. Awesome job buddy.

Thats what I've started with and I've already had a small mishap when I installed my bio-pellet reactor on Monday. I will do a more in-depth review down the road. Thanks for watching Scott.

Hey mate. Nice review 👌 spot on. One question. The white cord coming from the pump is the power supply I'm guessing. Why are there bare wires? How don't they hook up to the controller? Seems odd there's no plug for a $380 setup
@reptilewizz3 жыл бұрын
That’s so you can stick the wires through a small hole in the water container and it was tilt connects to the provided snaps. hope that makes sense

Is the pump loud? Just saw another guy’s video saying his was super loud

How often do you find you have to clean it?
@Val_Halla7775 жыл бұрын
Hi- would’nt the second magnet with a higher placement for the float switch/alarm be beneficial so it doesn’t go off during feed modes when the return pump is off and the water rises in the return chamber? Or does your setup not siphon much when return pump is shut off? Cheers

Do you turn it off in the winter? Nice vid. So clear and easy to understand.
@MadHattersReef7 жыл бұрын
It on year round. The aquarium stays around 78 to 80 degrees all year, so you still get evaporation (just not as much in the winter). Thanks for watching!

Hey Hatter, Great review. What kind of redundancy do you recommend beyond the features present in the unit? You do you think Tunze has it pretty covered...
@MadHattersReef8 жыл бұрын
RealWorldReefing They have a good amount of redundancy built in but just like anything, there's always room for more. Eventually I will go into more detail on this topic but for now I'll give you a hint. I'll be utilizing my Apex.

Hey thanks. for the video. I wonder if you could do me a favor. My friend blew up this device and I am trying to fix it for him but I am having trouble identifying the chip with 8 pins which is next to the power jack.. could you please send me a photo or simply tell me what is written on it? thanks.

just curious. is the water in the brute container is regular water? fresh? or am i supposed to keep a salt container for that?
@jakethomas44776 жыл бұрын
hippyskee316 the water you are topping off should be fresh rodi water. Water evaporates but salt doesnt

i am getting this exact setup. same ato and return pump. any tips? going into a 120g with a 50g sump
@MadHattersReef6 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it’s a tip but I have and Apex and I don’t run the ATO on the Apex even though it would make life easier. I believe that it has enough safeguards not to use it with an Apex.

I’ve just set my tunze osmolator up. Whenever I turn the power on it starts pumping water and won’t stop. Any idea what’s going on? I’ve cleaned the sensor.
@mikewilloughby54486 жыл бұрын
It self primes for about 30-60 seconds every time it powers on.
@gm8367 жыл бұрын
Can I use it on a fancy goldfish tank or is it pushing it? I use a sump because it's a 150 us gallon aquarium. I know this sounds stupid but does nitrate also evaporate with water, if yes, wouldn't this system serve as a water change on a freshwater aquarium.
@MadHattersReef7 жыл бұрын
You can absolutely use this product on any aquarium and on with a fresh water tank you could siphon water out and let the ATO replenish the tank with new water. For me, having a saltwater tank I need to turn mine off while doing a water change.

good as far as it goes. does not show how to connect each 3 cables (in addition to the power) hanging off the controller box.
