After the Uri Attack I had called out India Army to very incompetent and i was of course labeled as an Anti-National! But I rest my case based on this interview. If the army cant protect its own, why do we think they will be able to defend the country and never ever they get questioned.
@-Neutron-Star6 жыл бұрын
Wow, seriously? After three terrorists went on a rampage and butchered 20 soldiers, inside what was supposed to be a fortified military compound, you still claim that Army was able to protect its own? Lets call a Spade a Spade, ya, you wouldn't be less of patriot by accepting the truth. Should I also remind you of Pathankot !?
@-Neutron-Star6 жыл бұрын
My point is that our Military is very, very and did I say, very, incompetent. When events like 26/11, Parliament Attack or Kargil happens, heads need to roll at the Top. Instead of eulogizing them by ignoring their incompetency, lets call them out.

Every institution in India has suffered or is suffering because the average Indian's capabilities in logic, character or high principles is at a dismal low. The Army would be no different. More dangerous are the people who don't realise it and still defend these institutions in the name of nationalism. They are actually more dangerous than the enemy.

@ Gaurav Mahendru Man you do crack me up. A word of advice, learn not to be subservient to government agencies, including Military. Military is there to serve and protect the country, not to rule our minds. I am not saying one should not respect the institutions, but as a citizen it is not only our right, but it is also our duty to keep the institutions on check by asking questions and raising issues. Bombay Blast 93, Kargil, 2001, Series of Train Blasts in Bombay in 2000s, 26/11, Uri, Pathankot are some of the very shameful failures for us a country and for our Military as an institution. Lets hold the bosses on top accountable to this.

Ladies, hindsight is 20/20. You talk about the officer who wargamed the Kargil scenario and it ‘wasn’t taken seriously ‘. If you were to go through the presentations over 10 yrs of NDC or Staff college courses , you’d probably come across every possible scenario in every sector along the Pak or China border .. it’s easy to blame Higher Command for what was essentially a deficit of ‘actionable’ intelligence and to give due credit to our opponents, a very bold tactical ( if not strategic) move by them

Amazing. I wish many more people see this interview, read the book. Its the common man, in the form of a soldier or in the form of civilians in Kashmir and border areas that suffer. Utterly sad and depressing. Our politicians lie, be it from BJP or Congress, and yet we trust them whole heartedly. Who's the fool?

I would say more eye opening. The Military top brass should be answerable for their failures . They should be grilled in the Parliament and head need to roll for such huge blunders.

When you’re talking about Barkha Dutt why don’t you just name her? Every such discussion presumes that public Toh chutiya hai, Abe yaar grow up! “...one particular journalist...” Ka kya matlab hai?

Prateek Chandra Jha If someone files a defamation case then theres an obligation to present evidence in court which canr be done. These are things people know and are understood.

"Every such discussion presumes that public Toh chutiya hai" You just proved the presumption correct. Public ka toh pata nahi, lekin aapne chutiyon jaisi baat boli hai. People arent named to avoid defamation cases.
