A superior concert. I have been listening to this concert almost every day from the day of its webcast. Hearty congratulations to the entire team. Sruti Sagar's delineation of ragas are unique and have a telling effect of evoking the required bhava, which perhaps every experienced listener expects. He adds an unexpected elongated kaarvai to it or delve at a swara going deep into its raga exploration. This reminds us of flute Mali. Devagandhari, Huseni , Varali.... were all treated in this way with his friendly touches, which reach his ardent listeners equally affectionate. Vittal Rangan also has really excelled in every piece of these creations. His high fidelity in supplementing the phrases till the end of each note is highly commendable for its prestine precision and warmth. His gentle smile at the end of the alapanas enhance the beauty of the raga hue. Bharadwaj's dexterity in his strokes and manodharma is most suitable and appropriate for the flautist and the violinist. The music that we listen here is worth ruminating several times. Sri Arkay Ramakrishnan deserves all appreciation for his commendable service of providing such talents to bring to his stage and give them the best acoustics and ambience to boost their creativity to still higher pedastal. Covid concerts on line have really benefitted listeners like me to be abreast with the musical journeys Chennai is taking far. Thank you all.
