Thankssssss.The music from the old series is beautiful, and the same from the movies, now everything is boring without style or soul☺☺

It's hard to believe that this is (was) only a TV show. The script, the on-location filming is close to feature film quality. Nothing about the pacing drags. The cross-cultural jokes make this shine. I am going to watch all of them.

FANTASTIC! Spoilers: Story: so original, innocent girl, counterfeiters ... Amusing culture clash, great performances all. A++! We're loving this series; the fact that he's in different locales w/ different folks in each episode. And not just U.S.-based. Very cool.

I was 15 in 1972 and if I'm not mistaken, part of that episode was filmed where I grew up in Notting hill Gate/Portobello Road, before they ever became trendy. This is an excellent series and this episode especially was most enjoyable, bringing back fond memories of my youth!

It’s hard to believe they didn’t give quality shows like Madigan a longer run. Richard Widmark was such a great person, not just a good actor.

London episodes are cute. Universal did one for Columbo too. I suppose it gave the cast and producers a chance to spend some expense money and time in London.

Wasn't this the same year Columbo went to London and eventually proved a scenery-chewing Honor Blackman and (less hammy) Richard Basehart had accidentally killed someone?

I hope so - that sounds great!!

Richard Basehart is only slightly less hammy, they're both being 'luvvies' in that one! Have you heard of Watch It For Days? It's a KZbin channel run by a woman who does in-depth and rather charming reviews of Columbo episodes. She's done that one.e

Alan Lake was the husband of Diana Dors.
@gingerli58208 ай бұрын
Lake appears at 43:15 as Augie. His marriage to Dors beginning in 1968 was a rather tragic story. Although nine years her junior, they were truly in love until her death in 1984 from cancer. He lasted only five months more before committing suicide at age 43.
