well... I don't know. as much as I love real maple syrup, we always have a bottle in the fridge and all, Reny's has a great price on a NH syrup, I still like the fake Hannaford brand syrup (to the dismay of my maple-syrup purist man. who is he to judge me on syrup taste? he likes the McRib, lol.)

Sugar is a preservative as well as a sweetener. Sugar can crystallize but if you reheat it the crystals will turn back to liquid. Honey does this as well, it’s fine just heat it up to dissolve crystals.

Shirley MacLaine wrote her first autobiography in 1970 called ‘Don’t fall of the Mountain’. Her career has only expanded exponentially moreover these last forty some-odd years and she’s a unique talent. Read the first one in 1980 and her work has only gotten better (and even more uniquely hilarious). Good 4 her ❤️

Trivia - how is Tim Walz linked to Christopher Columbus? Here in MN it’s for a press conference stating that it was the right of the people to topple his statue by the Capitol because he did bad things 🤷‍♀️ That was in the era of statue toppling though. Probably shouldn’t have mentioned our Governor on your podcast, but funniest part of week was Gaffigan playing him on SNL. Spot on

Non-GMO means that the corn they use is not genetically modified to resist bugs or weed killer, etc. Monsanto has “created” corn that will tolerate the use of weed killer, so it can be sprayed on the fields to get rid of weeds, (and other used).

If you go to Stowe to the Van Trapp home, it is not like their home in the movie. it's a kind of Swiss chalet building, but interesting. BTW, FYI, as you turn off the interstate to get to Stowe, there's the headquarters/home of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream 🍦 Stop there, too!

I used to enjoy a McRib back in Jr. High lolol I’m a vegetarian now….😂 Elvis enjoyed learning about many religions. He read several books and wore a Star of David necklace, which may be why it was included on his tombstone. I hope China does not send us the dogs painted like pandas! 🐼 Wawa has a Gobbler sandwich which has all the Thanksgiving fixins. Get a bucket and fill it with water. Next time you see the racoon dump the water on them. They will leave after that. Next time you see them do the same thing and they will learn to run away from you. This is both safe for you and the raccoons!! They carry diseases you don't want to get!

I have noticed the difference in where the sun rises and sets here in Kentucky (actually the sun doesn't rise or set....we're the one that moves. The sun stays stationary in the sky.) I always marked it by the house across the street. It has changed (along with the changing of the seasons). I've said this for years.

I somehow missed the sale of the Phoenix Coyotes to the “Utahians”. I would think all those snow birds would have kept the team. I was pissed when MN sold the North Stars to TX. my man is one of the weirdos who like the McRib. he just said the other day he wished it would come back. (I do not even want to claim him on this. they are so friggin gross tasting to me. tried a bite because of him last time they came back couple/few years ago). I'm behind on my pubcast episodes or I would have seen this and been able to tell him "it's back!" well it will be anyway, lol. (they always have the commercial when it comes back for a bit yelling "it's back!")

You sure were hard on the Mc Rib, Kathleen. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it's no good. Other people DO like the Mc Rib, in fact it has somewhat of a cult following. Keeping it as a 'limited-time-offering' creates 'buzz' and brings the Mc Rib aficionados out of the woodwork, and they will end up buying fries, sodas, shakes, etc while they are there, giving a boost to sales. Admittedly, if it were on the menu all the time, very few people would eat them on the regular. BTW, I'm not offended or anything, I know you're a comedian and you're being funny, I just wanted to speak up in defense of the Mc Rib sandwich and those of us who enjoy eating them.

I was thinking the same when Kathleen mentioned the raccoons. I stumbled on James' channel one time and it was unbelievable. He even has names for some of them. Feeds them hotdogs, grapes, marshmallows, sandwich cookies and dog food. He must spend a fortune feeding them but he enjoys it so good for him.
