**tears** This is the BEST video ever. This is why I still come here to watch your videos and I have no social media, no tv, and avoid ads as much as possible...this year I have been more present and happy than ever. Thank you so much for such touching and truly transforming videos. You really have helped transform my normal life. It's too bad we don't all have friends like you nearby, but hopefully I can be that real-life friend to those I'm near. :)

“What season of life are you in?” Such a good question to ask yourself. I’d love to wake up early and read my Bible, and have a slow breakfast, etc. but I’m in the very little years with my kids, and it’s just not possible! Life is never one fits all. You have to go with the seasons and do your best with what you have in that time!

This video is a perfect vibe for my current era👌 I deleted social media from my phone 2 weeks ago.. I was so stressed and overwhelmed that I had to try it. During the first week I sew a dress, read a book, saw some friends, cooked delicious and gorgeously looking meals the internet will never see... aaah, life is really so much better without "following"

As I was going down the rabbit hole looking for ‘the fastest weight loss diet’ I caught myself feeling overwhelmed and tired (as it’s also 1am). And then I tell myself: “I need to stop this. Slow down. Let me see what’s up with Maddie.” Apparently nothing new. So I go to your slow living playlist as I usually do when Im looking for some “grounding”. And tah-dah! Hidden gem! Perfect timing! Thank you so much!

I admire you... I have two children (9 and 3), and I don’t know where you find the calmness I see in your videos. My kids are very lively, and the little one is extremely attached to me; she often wants to be held, wants my constant attention, wants to do everything I do, and doesn’t give me a moment to take care of household chores. I won’t hide it, I feel exhausted, and when I see serene moms like you, who manage to have a business, homeschool, and so much more, I feel like a failure as a mother. Maybe this wasn’t the path God wanted for me, or maybe I failed in my role. I feel overwhelmed and incapable... Can you give me any advice? Thank you...

I finally feel more comfortable just being. Early motherhood I felt the need to distract. To stay busy. It makes me sad how many moments I missed because I was so anxious and busy bodied. I love these days with my kids. Hanging out at home, the park, being with one another. Simply watching them play or watching them. It’s okay just to be and not look for more. Thank you for this video and reminder in the midst of the busy season. The push for more.

Thank you for this video. I wish more people could see this and truly grasp it. I am so shocked and I just don’t ’get it’ when I see people commenting on videos saying something like ‘I’m the first to comment’ on a video. Like that means something? I don’t even understand the reason for the comment. It just seems so weird to me. And recently I watched a video of a KZbinr decluttering her dresses and she would give a reason why she was decluttering them. Some reasons were it was too long, the skirt would fly up in wind, the straps were too long etc. so many people commented trying to ‘help’ her with ways she could fix these issues rather than declutter the $150 each dresses. They even mentioned the concern for her losing out on the money. I was so surprised by these comments because to me it showed how much those people STILL BELIEVE that what they are seeing is ‘real life’ as in the same as them. This KZbinr ( stay at home mom of 4) doesn’t need to be concerned AT ALL with fixing or getting rid of 7-10 $150+ each dresses…why? Because 1) she didn’t pay for the majority of them herself they were ‘gifted’ by brands or she used her brand link credit etc. 2) she will be offered and get gifted or be able to get many more every week, month. The last outfit she was ‘gifted’ ( a skirt and sweater) would cost a non- KZbinr over $2000! I’m not kidding, I looked it up. I don’t know any SAHM with 4 kids that aren’t KZbinrs, who could afford to pay that for 2 items. I’m not judging anyone at all. It’s just shocking to see how many people still think that what they are seeing is the same as their life. If you don’t work for/ on ‘KZbin’ then there is no comparison. And yet by the comments, people still think it’s ’normal life’ and think they should be able to attain or acquire anything at the same level or rate as a KZbinr. I actually saw one of the best quotes somewhere that said something like “ The reality is YOU CANNOT OUTSHOP A KZbinR” ( or keep up with). There is no comparison when they are getting free merchandise by the brands. They are like paid advertising agents, the same as if they worked on campaigns for ad or marketing agencies. And just like those ‘firms/ companies’ brands give free merchandise to ‘try’ as incentive to work with their brand. If that’s not your job then why would you think you would have the same perks as someone with that job. We do not have that expectation of any other ‘profession’ or ‘job’. For example, people who are in construction and build houses for a living can go to say a floor and tile business and get a ‘builder’ wholesale type discount ( significant savings) even if they are just building their own home. Could you or I get THE SAME discount ? No way. And we don’t expect to. But yet we expect to have the same or try to keep up to acquire the same items or quantity or lifestyle as KZbinrs. I just find it so sad. So all that to say this video is so needed and helpful. I think you could literally make one of these every week with basically the same message and it would still be just as needed to counter the bombardment of ‘discontent’ content. Thank you for this one.❤

Beautiful. I have been thinking about all of this for a while now. One observation: When you said, "Who are you without the internet?" I want to say that I would say, "Who are you without social media?" I think our culture is starting to conflate the two. It's almost like squares and rectangles. All rectangles are squares but not all squares are rectangles. All of social media is on the internet but the internet is not social media. I know there are still places on the internet that may instill anxiety and not enough-ness, but I would argue that the vast majority of this comes from social media. Your point still stands, I just wanted to add a small bit of nuance. Love your message.
