I like his fall/landing practice. You dont think about it, but for pretty much every job or hobby where youre high up you need to know how to fall and land properly. It could save your life. There was a case of a woman falling out of a plane and living... now she probably had the perfect circumstances for her to live through that, but apparently she landed in a way that allowed her to live IIRC.
@jamestopliss70295 ай бұрын
Yes she landed in a bush or something 😂 literally nothing to do with her falling technique 😂
@joesteadman3435 ай бұрын
@@jamestopliss7029 You just proved my point. Landing in bushes will lessen the impact of hitting the ground. She didn't consciously choose to fall into a bush, but we know it works. My comment was made under the assumption that she didn't have any fall training in the first place. So it's literally still a technique someone could employ to survive high falls.

@bemk5 ай бұрын
My first thoughts too. Looking a bit closer, red and blue seem to be on belay. Dunno what the orange one is for. If I had to make a guess I'd say it's a catch to keep him from rolling down the hill side in case he decks it before putting in his first piece of protection.
@morgandaly26513 ай бұрын
If he’s being belayed, why is he worried about falling?
@bemk3 ай бұрын
@@morgandaly2651'cause you first have to reach your first quick draw, and then he also has a pretty run out section at the end where he could deck it ...
@thomkirkwood235614 күн бұрын
For British trad it's pretty common to use half ropes - two thinner ropes where you normally only clip one into each piece, so you reduce rope drag if a route traverses - you clip one into gear on the left and the other on the right. I'd guess that the third is a static rope to haul gear up to the top.
