Madman's Paradise was a very nice change of dynamic to have for a Transformers episode where the Decepticons weren't actually featured as the villains, a trend that would continue a couple of times in season 3. I have good memories of watching this one on VHS with my grandparents when i stayed with them and i remember this was a lot of fun in terms of the way they showcased wizards and magic. Side note: from manhandling both Megatron and Optimus Prime to serving drinks as a waiter, Grimlock was definitely the most downgraded Dinobot

I think the Season 3 of the G1 Transformers is the only season of that series that had some episodes that never had the Decepticons in it as far as I can remember 'MadMan's Paradise','Forever is a Long Time Coming' and 'Only Human' are the only ones without the Decepticons plotting to destroy the Autobots.

@@alvindzaki6085 Absolutely not. The difference between his Season 1/2 character and his Season 3 character is quite stark. The original Grimlock was a purposefully destructive savage brute who cared not for the Autobot cause, he was more dangerous than any Decepticon and only stayed with the Autobots due to hating the Decepticons more. He demonstrated multiple times that he had no quarrels killing Autobots, most particularly Optimus Prime, and cared only for his self and the Dinobots who were his minions kept in line by Grimlock's raw power. The Season 3 Grimlock is an oversized puppy dog, a dim-witted clutz who mostly caused destruction accidentally. He retains his strength, but his personality and demeanor is a complete 180 of his original self. He changed from a monstrous heavy-hitter into the comic relief character. Grimlock, like all Dinobots, had a primitive brain but he wasn't stupid (at least not as stupid as his Season 3 self), it was Sludge who was the truly stupid one of the Dinobots. He may not have been quite on the level of your average bot, but it wasn't just his strength that made Grimlock the Dinobot's leader.
