Kagetora(Uesugi Kenshin) meet Takeda Shingen

I remember this scene many decades after I first watched it. The quick resort to lethal violence followed by the casual cruelty and indifference to suffering displayed in various ways by the members of Takeda's beautifully attired retinue as they pass through the beautiful but cold and pitiless Japanese winter landscape says more about the contradictions of that way of life than a thousand historical narratives could.

The storyline is so beautiful, the symbolism, so as the warm-blooded animals, and the contrasting leadership qualities and the differing inspiration. Yet the challenge of putting it into a collage or visual art, the sequencing and putting it all together in a one motion picture medium to be watched by other warm-blooded animals is really something. Cinematography is so beautiful as well.

I think you got the names wrong Takeda shingen is the guy who shoots lady Yae, Uesugi Kenshin is the husband of Lady Yae. Edit: sorry after checking the flags again i was wrong the red ones are carrying the Takeda Flags

@@scottw337Shingen had managed to defeat Ieyasu and Nobunaga’s combined forces at Mikatagahara and was marching towards Kyoto. The only reason Nobunaga succeeded in eliminating Takeda clan was because Shingen had died from illness and Katsuyouri, his heir, did not listen to his generals of not marching towards Nagashino, which was advised by Shingen himself. The battle of Nagashino turned into a massacre of almost all of Takeda’s generals

I think u might be having bit of a misunderstanding The Takeda of Kai weren’t completely wiped off immediately after the Battle of Nagashino in 1580.sure they were heavily crippled as a result of the battle, but they weren’t destroyed after the battle. They met their demise 2 years after Nagashino following the battle of Tenmokuzan and the internal betrayal by Oyamada Nobushige
