The male choir takes over the absence of the woman by the 4th verse, symbolizing her time on the death bed. Also, the song ends on the child's voice, representing rebirth and another cycle of the seasons. If you can find the English translation of the song, it is actually a series of haikus detailing the metaphorical account of the woman as she sees the changing seasons through her window. Since they are haikus, the entire song is in Japanese. The symbolism is beautiful, utterly beautiful :).
