PaisleyParkFan I might agree with them on that. Like a Virgin was so big and controversial. I don't feel that this song would be as strong for pop taste and maybe could have weakened the powerful pop vibe she had at the time.

Symbolic Living Possibly, but “crazy for you” was a big hit from the soundtrack. We’ll never know. What I do know is this song needs to be released in the US already. It’s been over 30+ years. The fact this video was officially uploaded a week ago from her channel is a good sign, but who knows?

Symbolic Living Or maybe not. It proved not being the case in the UK, where in 1985 alone Madonna had 8 Top 10 Hits, with "Gambler" peaking at #4 on the charts, and with "Into the Groove" having a proper release as a single, topping the british charts for 4 consecutive weeks, not even affecting the sales of "Angel" which had a peak at #5 on its own, same as "Dress you up". Such popularity had Madonna that year that we'll never know if she could have had the same level of success in the US charts if all those singles were released in that territory as well.
