This was a Global mega hit reaching No.1 in 43 countries !! Don't get confused about what you see in the video , it was SUPPOSED to look vintage with references to the 1970s (the hand dance moves, the hair, the leotard she is wearing etc. etc. - all 1970's)

Guys this video came out in 2005 but its meant to look «vintage ». She was paying hommage to 1970’s film Saturday Night Fever as well as Abba... so her style, the 80’s Boombox and the overall styling looks retro on purpose.

Sorry is a sequel to this video. The spider walk on the stairs was actually done first in The Exorcist back in 1973. She sampled Gimme Gimme Gimme from ABBA, which is only the second time they've allowed their music to be sampled.

This song was released in 2005 and it reached #1 in 40 countries which still holds the record for #1's. The album Confessions on a dance floor is the bIble of modern dance music and dance albums and as of last count ( her record sales haven't been update in a while ) had sold 15 million copies world wide. It was huge and every where. She followed all of this with the mega successful and incredible Confessions tour.

Great reaction, Madonna is pop perfection and she has an incredible career even with a lot of sabotage if I'm not wrong she has been blocked in radios in the early 90s and the 2000s in the US just for being openly sexual or having a political opinion so she opened the doors for every female artist right now.

Really good reaction. Hung Up is the most successful dance track of the 2000s and probably one of the most successful in music history (#1 in 41 countries, hence it was placed in Guinness Worlds Records). One of my fav songs for sure, especially when you listen to this song during pandemic. And guys - you should reserve about 20 minutes and listen to her Confessions On a Dance Floor from which Hung Up was released as the main single. Trust me - you won't regret it :)

It was a special night because she took Michael Jackson as a date. After she performed live, the song won an Oscar for best song from a film for Dicky Tracey. Think it would be interesting for you guys to hear her singing with amazing live vocals with a very different type of sound.

Madonna's videos are usually a homage to iconic times in the past or to creative future, she is always out of the time so her message can be told and read deeply. In "Hung Up" hit she uses a sample from the legend pop band ABBA in the 70s and the aesthetic from John Travolta in the iconic dance film "Saturday Night Fever" also from the 70s when Disco era than would give birth Pop in the 80s.

On August 16, 2005 (the day she turned 47), Madonna was riding a horse when a paparazzi came out of the bushes and scared the animal, which threw her to the ground. In addition to minor bruises, her fall caused a broken clavicle, a hand and three ribs. Just a few weeks later she recorded the video clip for ‘Hung up’, in which she demonstrated how quickly she had recovered.

Fun fact: she had 8 broken bones when she filmed this after being thrown off her horse. If you watch Like a Virgin from the Confessions Tour she mocked herself as a new equestrian by using videos of people getting thrown off horses mixed with her own actual x-rays. She doesn’t do old songs unless she can find a new way to make them different so the horse riding accident was a funny way to do the song and work it into the equestrian theme of that tour’s opening act.
