I am 2 yrs older than Madonna and have loved her from the beginning. Of course, I am younger than your Mom. Older people then did not understand Madonna's humor, and were threatened by her sexuality and sensuality. Madonna has always retained her belief in God and family. She knew exaclty what she was doing, she was paying attention to the cameras, literally ignoring the lukewarm audience which had no clue that they had been watching a girl destined to become the Queen of Pop. Something new for the music biz at the time. (And Madonna knew Exactly what she was doing.) Her lack of actual vocal talent necessitated an attention grabbing gimmick - focus attention on being a slut. Shock value, controversy, rebellion, outrageousness. The things she would use to catapult her to stardom throughout her career. No judgement - worked exceedingly well for her alto I actually prefer 'natural singing talent.'

Madonna is so great. She knew exactly what she was doing. Every beat. Throwing off the shoes to get down off the cake, humping the veil on the floor, rolling around so you knew what it would be like being intimate with her...but you would never get that chance! She owned this from head to toe. And as someone who was obsessed with her early before this, I tried as best I could to study the look, the style. I worked with her as her dresser when she was she doing a show at Lincoln Center with Sean. I loved him. Could not have been nicer. And when they got together on stage and off, the electricity was intoxicating. I was 21, I was so lucky and I am so glad I have these memories and this opportunity.

Sweeperboy Im sure you’re right that it was all planned .. however, as for the shoes, she kicked them off from the top of the cake. So what you mean is that she had already found them and put them back on by the time of the veil incident

Very scripted..there were 2 sets of shoes. The one she threw it and one was already placed at foot of the cake.
