@metalmacabre9991
@metalmacabre9991 11 күн бұрын
@@joelbny death metal is fast, and the lyrics are typically about the harsh realities of life, death, suffering, the occult. Doom metal is slow and sludgy it's heavier in a sense because it's concentrated, like I said very slow, and sludgy lots of power chords, are used In both but in doom metal they sustain longer becomes it's slow. Black Sabbath is a great example of doom metal. They are the first metal band, but when you break it down they fall right into the sub genre which is doom metal. I hope that explains it. Thanks for not being rude or anything because I'm not the typical fan. If you'd like I can give you the names of some bands from both sub- genres.

@@yeezus4pres - Taylor has put songwriting at the forefront of modern pop music in a way no other artist has managed in history, and we've watched that influence new crops of songwriters for the better part of a decade now (at least). So many pop girls are writing their own music these days, something practically unheard of in 1999. That alone should give you hope for pop music's immediate future. You should listen to more than an artist's singles and watch at least a couple longer interviews before you decide they're some ill omen of pop music's future.

I have nothing but the deepest affection and love and admiration for Madonna. I am 33 years old and it is only now, after reading an article, that I realize, what a great form of art her work is. It touches me like no other music, it is the dedication, the perfection of the message of the songs and their visualization. No other musician does what she does, she stands in line with the great classical artists like Michelangelo. This dedication to express herself produces pieces, that can stand alone like a painting, with a deeper meaning. -- It is a pity, that John Lennon couldn`t see her, I think he would have been enthusiastic. Her approach resembles Lennon`s, only that she is much more sucessful at reaching her aim, for various reasons. And no wonder McCartney didn`t like her, he was never an artist like Lennon, just a musician.

People complaining that she isn't singing live have completely missed the point. In the Ballroom scene NO ONE sings. Trivia : Madonna used the same dress used by Glenn Close in Dangerous Liaisons.

I'm a historian specializing in the 18th c. and I talk about this all the time! They're not perfect, of course, but specifically Madonna herself? Damn-- the neckline is perfect, size/proportion of the panniers are great, the style of the gown she's wearing is based off of a very specific midcentury French style, and you can tell she's wearing stays/undergarments that give her the proper shape. So much respect for artistic expression when it's obviously backed up by research

It's incredible how this woman is far away forward her time. The Fans and the Haters don't get her at all. Everybody talking about lip syncing and no one understands what she's doing there. She wanted to do a new Video for Vogue. A live video in one take, without editing. It was the first time someone tried to do that. The performance was used like a "single" for her video collections and. A celebration of MTV and Madonna's Career. That was a perfect performance, but was not meant to be a live show, it was meant to be a dancing painting in form of a live video. That's so fucking crazy and amazing. The royal courts of the late 1700s were extremely sexually charged and playful so this isn’t too far off from the way they’d have acted! It’s so fun and you can tell she really loves her dancers. Can we take a moment to appreciate the diversity of her dancers. Edit: I said dancers, not male dancers, there are female dancers too. Why should male dancers just get to get all the attention around like a giant while the rest of female dancers try not to get smushed under their big feet? The females are just as cute as the males, right? The females is just as good of a dancer as the males , people totally like the female just as much as they like the males, and when did it become okay for one gender to be the boss of everybody because that’s not what Madonna is about! We should totally just FIGHT ABOUT THE FEMALE DANCERS!

They're not diverse. They're all black except for one latino, one white, and one Asian. But quotas don't matter and we shouldn't be adding them up and keeping score. What matters is that talent is recognized and not held back by discrimination. That's what Madonna was doing here, giving talent a chance to shine. The dancers were excellent and Madonna was great for giving those poor dancers the opportunity to perform on the world stage and leave a legacy like this. Yes, some of those dancers were really "underprivileged" and had few other opportunities to dance. It was harder for dancers like that to make it then. It's still really hard. That's why it was so great for Madonna to promote their talent like this.

1 - PERFECT choreography; 2 - absolutely amazing costumes -- not just for madonna but all of the dancers/characters; 3 - the diversity among her dance crew: we have asian, latino, black, probably all (or most) gay men bringing the ballroom/vogue scene to one of the most important stages in pop music; 4 - referencing marie antoinette, the queen of opulence, carelessness and youthness; 5 - not being afraid of sexuality and being playful and tongue-in-cheek about it; 6 - madonna at one of her peaks of beauty and influence; 7 - the amazing exit with her becoming the one who watches the audience; 8 - nikki and donna nailing every step of the way; 9 - the theatrical feel of the whole performance: this is not supposed to look like a music video or a pop concert -- this is musical theater, camp, broadway. 10 - how everyone on stage not only has a chance to shine but is also there for a REASON. all of them actuallycontribute to the storytelling of the piece. 11 - the fact that all of this was done in 1990, when she was one of the fery few artists who pushed the boundaries between pop music, sex and art. this performance is one of the many reasons why she's the GOAT in pop music. loved this since i was a kid and will love it forever.

This is also more about the movie “Dangerous Liaisons” Madonna is even wearing one of the dresses Glenn Close wore for that movie. They were on tour in France, and they were playing charades, and one of the charades was “Dangerous Liaisons” Madonna said it was very Vogue.

Madonna at the top of her game right there, 1990 she was at her peak, pinnacle, and prime, probably the biggest star on the planet. She's still riding high with a successful Celebration tour recently, but 1990 era was all about Madonna ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ :-)

The amount of choreography here is unreal, they could have easily messed up so easily, even dropping the fan is so easy as they were literally flipping them in the air, and yet everything was perfectly in line. Unreal. Also for 1990, this was SO over the top. Madonna was pushing the envelope and was such an innovator with how much she was such an advocate for the gay community…1990 was such a homophobic time and Madonna didn’t give a flying crap she was going to be in your face. True pop queen

I think people tend to forget that she is not just a "singer", she's an actual artist, her performances are her art. We don't bash painters for painting nudity, we find it beautiful. This is her art. Its not on a canvas, its moving, it's alive. It is art, and Madonna makes masterpieces. There will never be another artist like her.

@Jeremy Ripton 😱omg 4 real tho‼️She's not maimed nor disfigured; she has now a face that belongs on a monster in a horror movie; a scientific experiment gone woefully wrong; when people say demonic I GET IT--she was a one of a kind of beauty; gorgeous in hair, face, body, ....her gorgeous eyes and mouth❣️omg....what else or WHOM else could've possessed her to do that to her face⁉️‼️😢 It's beyond sad....😞

God bless you and your dearest comment. This woman literally saved my life when I was being bullied and losing my nerves in middle school. 25 years later, and I'll never forget the profound effect she left on me and so many. It's contagious. I realized I could dance and come up with routines on the spot. So, I came out of my shell and started performing at clubs & bars. Best memories of my life!(Thank you Michele, Teresa, Mark, and Pam.)

What are you waffling about? The entire purpose of this whole song and specially the coreography is to pay homage to the Harlem lgbt movement from the 60s and the visibilization of the gay community, you could've chose any other song to make your point but you chose specifically the one that is the entire opposite of what you are saying
