Mario Silva a humidifier is a machine that u plug in it has a heating element that creates soothing vapor to make the room less dry and stuffy...adding essential oils just makes the hot steam more soothing , depending on what scent u use for what problem. eg. lavender for calming, euchaliptius (i cant spell) for soothing the nose an throat....ect... they sell them for 20 bucks at ur local pharmacy, VICKS makes a good portible one. i have
