The studio scenes in the video pay homage to the disco film 'Saturday Night Fever' (starring John Travolta). In fact, the album is a tribute to disco music only refashioned a la Madonna with electronic music and samplings from great disco songs of the 70s. One of her best albums. The concert was awesome too!

I saw Madonna twice in 2006. At Coachella in the Sahara tent (04/30/06) and her Confessions tour in the summer (Fresno, CA 06/05/06). To this day, the Confessions tour from start to finish is the best show I've ever seen.

The video also pays homage to John Travolta or particularly his most famous movies SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER-the DANCE STUDIO scene. She is basically dressed in the outfit that Lynne Gorney Weaver wore The second is a very subtle nod to GREASE-at the back of the night club the set resembles the FUN HOUSE which is where YOUR THE ONE THAT I WANT was performed. Very subtle very clever and deliberate.
